Just measure both the dc!

Dc1 is 5f2 (and a half)
Dc2 who is a couple of years younger is 4ft5

I seem to have grown giants lighthearted

I know both of them are tall but still I’m 5f9 (and a half) and dc1 only has to grow another 7 inches and will be the same height as me….dh is around 5ft11!

DD has just turned 12 and is 5 ft 8. She keeps stealing my clothes and shoes but it won't be long before her feet are bigger than mine.

I teach secondary and it's not unusual for the girls to be 5ft + in Yr 7 whereas the boys are still tiny. Boys tend to grow between the Yr 9-10 summer holiday, they come back and suddenly tower over me.

That fits for when friends' kids shot up HP.
I have a y8 boy and a y5 girl, waiting to see which grows first. DD would like to be taller than DS even if it is briefly! Currently he's about an inch taller.

Dc1 (dd) is 10y1m. She is 5'2 (same height as me)

My 11yo is 5’7

It’s quite good in a way as he now wears men’s clothes and has a much better choice - no More Camouflage or fortnite slogans 🙌

Ds is 12 and is just under 5ft.

His cousin is just 13 and is about 6ft 3

10 y old ds is 4'8" I think. He's about 6" shorter than me at 5'2". My dh and I are both shortarses and he takes medication to help his adhd which may also impede his growth.

I occasionally teach y6 and quite a few of them are as tall or taller than me.

My 10-year-old is about 4'3". I've found it interesting that he was by far more largest baby, but he's my smallest 10 year old.

My 12 year old is about 5'3" - and my 14 year old is an inch or two taller than that. It's become a real bone of contention between them, especially as my 14 year was one of the tall ones back in Y7 - her and about 3 others were towering over the rest - but hasn't really grown much since.

My now 17 year old was starting to be taller than many adults around 10-11, I remember getting very frustrated when some other parents would go on about how he's so tall whenever there was arguing between our kids, like him being taller meant he was meant to be more mature or something. There was a lot around that Y6-Y7 time where it seemed other kids viewed him as a challenge/easy person to pin things on. He's been over 6 feet for years now, thankfully the growth has slowed enough that I've stopped having to scramble to keep him in fitting trousers.

My nearly 11 year old Ds is 5ft 5 and in size 8 runners. My DD 6 years old is 4ft 3. I'm only 5ft 4 my DH is 5ft 9.

My 14 year old is 5ft 2
11 year old 5ft 5!

Both girls, oldest was small when she was born and youngest was big when she was born.

11 year old looks much older than the 14yo too. She's just started year 7 and actually got mistaken for a year 9 and sent for dinner with them, she didn't know how to tell the teacher as they were adamant she goes so she get she had to go

I am 5'3, DD who just turned 12 is 5'5.

And presumably by far the smallest in his year, as the leavers (Y6) hoody order form had the smallest size as 12-13, and went up to 15-16. All of which will swamp him.

My 10 year old DD2 is 5’6 and 12 year old DD1 is 5’11 - we are very tall though, so it isn’t a surprise.

Twin daughter about 5ft, twin son 5ft 9.She ended up about 5ft 4 and he is 6ft 3. I am 5ft4, father 5ft11

It’s fascinating how they change and how different it is in different places. Here I’ve got DS1 (11) 5’4” and DS2 (10) 4’7” - I’m 5’6” and DH is 6’4”. Not sure DS2 will ever catch DS1 but we will see after growth spurts kick in I guess. Anyone know if it’s likely?

Leaving primary age 11 dd1 was 5ft 3 now aged 17 she is 5ft 6.5 and no longer growing.

D2 was 5ft 2 and now 3 years later has only made it to 5ft 3 and probably won’t grow much more now. They both grew early, but haven’t ended up as giants.

My GD is 10 1/2, and is 4ft 10. Shoe size 4. Her dad is 6ft 2, mum 5ft 1

DS (just turned 10) is five foot two.

Ds1 is 4ft 10 aged 11. I'd say he was bang on middling height compared to all his classmates.

My 11 year old daughter is 5ft 7. I am 5 ft 4. Husband is tall.

DD was 4ft 5 at 11yrs. She is now 16 and appears to have stopped growing at just under 5ft 2.

DS was 5ft 2 when he was 11 and is now 5ft 9 at 13 yrs.

Both have stuck pretty consistently with the centiles they were on at birth. DD is around 12th centile, DS is around 92nd. Such a difference! I’m 5ft 3 and their dad is 5ft 8.

I have twin girls. Dd2 is 5 2 in year 7. Shot up in yr 6. Dd1 is 5 3 and hasn't had any kind of growth spurt yet but has size 7 feet so I suspect still has growing to do.

Dd2 has started her periods and Dd1 hasn't yet. My guess is Dd2 will end up 5 5 ish whereas dd 1 will go past 5 8. Dd1 has had very long legs and been above 95th percentile for height since she was a foetus, Dd2 has been average. Dh is very tall and I am under average height.

I think yr 6 height isn't a great predictor for girls especially - I was the second tallest in my year at 5 2 but had boobs and periods too as did the tallest girl. At 46 I am 5 3 and the girl taller than me didn't get past 5 2.
