Just measure both the dc!

Dc1 is 5f2 (and a half)
Dc2 who is a couple of years younger is 4ft5

I seem to have grown giants lighthearted

I know both of them are tall but still I’m 5f9 (and a half) and dc1 only has to grow another 7 inches and will be the same height as me….dh is around 5ft11!

My ten year old son is 5ft 5in which is taller than me

DS, just turned 12 last month is 5ft5. DD who will be 10 in a couple of months is 4ft7 (and a half).

I do wonder if children are just getting taller on the whole,

DD is 11 and 5ft6, I’m the same height as you OP and with her chunky boots on, is not far off looking me in the eye..!

DD is 11 and year 7. They've just this week (in science) measured the whole class. The difference between the tallest at the shortest (both boys) was 24 cm with a whole range in between. She's 5ft 1" and definitely one of the tallest in her class.

Our 11yo dd is 4ft10. The 13yo dd is only a tiny bit taller. I'm 5ft5 and dh 6ft2 so god knows where they'll end up

Oh- both boys i meant to add. Ds1 is the second smallest in his year.

DS2 grew 6 inches in a year when he was 11. I couldn't believe it when I saw the marks on the wall from the previous year's measuring.

DD 11.5 is 170cm (5’7”) and there is a girl in her class who is a good few inches taller! Kids are so much taller now!!

I've noticed some y5-6 really shoot up, particularly girls - is DC1 a girl? Though I notice a pp has a giant 10yo boy too. My y5 is 5 ft and has always been among the tallest in her year, which she still is. But for the first time several girls in the year above are towering over her.

Dd2 is 11 and avuut 4 ft 11-5 ft.

I'm not sure about kids are so much taller now - I was tall in y6 too, I was just approaching puberty and nearly finished growing. I'm tallish for a woman but not as tall as OP, or even as tall as my grandma was (one of them, the other was about 5 ft).

DD, 10, 5'4

I was 5' 8" at 11. Stopped at 5'11".
My dd was 5' 6.5" at 12 and hasn't grown since (now 16).
My son was about 5'6" at 11 but topped out at just shy of six feet (much to his annoyance).

DGS, 13, is nearly six foot.

10yo, Yr6. 4ft10.
Until about 18 months ago, one of the tallest at school. Then lots of her classmates hit puberty and overtook her. She hasn't had her growth spurt yet.

I'm 5'7, but her dad is only 5'8.

DD was taller than me at 11. At 12 shes 5'5. I'm 5'2. I tried to borrow her boots last week. They were like boats on me -4 sizes too big!

Kids are much taller now. In the 1980/90s, I was considered average height amongst my peers. I'm 5'2" . I wasn't considered especially short. I would be now.

Ds11 5 foot.
Ds13 6 foot.

They spent years with only an inch difference in height until ds1 hit 13 and literally grew a foot in height in about 4 months. I still can't get used to him being taller than me!

My only just 12 year old is 5ft 10.

I'm 5 ft 5. My DS overtook me at 11 and now at 14 he's 5 ft 11 and towers over everyone in the family! He's taller than both his older male cousins and I reckon he'll finish up at about 6 ft 2.

My 10 nearly 11 year old is about 4 ft 6 and seems small compared to the rest of her class. I think she takes after me for height. I'm 5' 2 and a half.

DD1 is 14 and is 5' 9. She's always been tall.
