It's always been one rule for the rich and famous, something else for the rest of us. Piers Morgan, The Beckhams, The Ramsays, Kate bloody Price, and so many others, went on holiday whilst we were all unable to go anywhere.

I can't see what date it was? Was when you were allowed to gather in doors or was it when you weren't allowed? That makes a big difference.

A) Starmer isn't the Prime Minister

It was in May 2021, when indoor household mixing was not allowed except for work purposes. It was during the Hartlepool by-election. They'd been campaigning during the day and holding zoom meetings with campaigners during the evening. During a break between these meetings they had dinner and had a beer.

Even the DM can't bring themselves to call it a party. Because it wasn't.

Keir Starmer visited a constituency office during a by election, and stayed to participate in a meeting in the evening. He ate his dinner at the office due to the evening meeting.

Not really the same an organising a piss up for 100 people.

Agree @SpindleyCrow - just contributing what I saw - haven't seen this footage before.

Keir Starmer was shown being in the same room as a bunch of Labour staffers in May 2021 visiting a Labour constituency office in Durham ahead of the Hartlepool by-election. In the fuzzy picture taken through a window, it looks like he might be holding a beer.

He was clearly in the North of England for work purposes, and worked over dinner, therefore drank during said meal. There are five people in the picture, and the general social contract at that time in terms of restrictions etc was very different.

This is pretty desperate stuff.

I have just looked at the footage and I don't think you can call that a "party" in any way shape of form. It looks exactly like they say it was. A beer with dinner while waiting for a work meeting. This is just tories trying their "best" to deflect and looking like twats to be honest.

Also Labour didn't make the laws, the tories did!
