My lovely Swarovski wine glasses make me happy too.
And Elle bed socks.
I also have a odd love for my erasable pens. I hate writing in pencil and how it looks, so the erasable pens are a big hit for me.

Robot hoover.

I’d love a boiling water tap and bean to cup machine! One day hopefully soon I’ll get the bean to cup. Dh will be pleased when I do as I’ll stop going on about them.

@Fritilleries

My medel cochlear implant, it's simple to use and has changed my life.
That's lovely to read.
Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 11/01/2022 18:52

@garlictwist tell me about these! Grin

littleburn · 11/01/2022 18:54

3 meter charger cables
Cordless vacuum
Basket at top and bottom of stairs to chuck things in to take up and down
Butler trays/tables
Nutri bullet (for 5 a day/protein drinks)

Nsky · 11/01/2022 19:00

Wool duvet
Bamboo socks
Cat

BoatisBoatShirley · 11/01/2022 19:04

Label maker
Weighted blanket
M&S period pants

…and now I’m slightly concerned how well those 3 things sum up my personality 🤣

Dollyparton3 · 11/01/2022 19:14

Smart front door lock. It locks itself after 10 seconds when you walk in laden down with shopping, I don't have to carry a key when I take the dog for a walk and the teenage kids only have access through the app meaning that when we go away (they're here EOW) we can disable their access so they can't use our free house.

It's amazeballs

Clothes steamer.

Will never iron again.

Also, low standards 👍

AWordsWorth · 11/01/2022 19:45

A few "things" that just made a huge difference to me over the past years were:

  • no alcohol Mon-Fri (sleep so much better)
  • regular/fixed time to bed and wake up Mon-Fri (much more rested)
  • audible subscription and listening to a 30 min walk during my lunch break almost every day (I really need that break from work)
  • a rabbit (well you can guess why :) )
Neverknowinglyunderfed · 11/01/2022 19:56

@Smallbutmightyl

I desperately want the neom diffuser!
Can thoroughly recommend. Has improved my sleep no end and just feel happy heading into my room 😂

Ice machine on my Fridge Freezer is another one.

Takeittotheboss · 11/01/2022 19:57

A dog!

tinkywinkyshandbag · 11/01/2022 20:01

Long handled dustpan and broom
Carpet scraper thingy that gets so much dog hair off the carpet it's like making another dog

Toddlerteaplease · 11/01/2022 20:23

Nesspresso machine was a life saver during lockdown. When the only thing I wanted was a latte!

girlabouthome · 11/01/2022 20:32

Magnetic meal planner for fridge
Utility room
Miele Large load washing mashing & tumble
Cleaner
Yes to tape dispenser!
Under bed storage for wrapping paper rolls
Guest room kept immaculate and "ready" - a haven at any point if needed, particularly useful last week with norovirus

Tronkmanton · 11/01/2022 20:33

@Dollyparton3 please could you post a link to your smart front door lock? Sounds amazing!

garlictwist · 11/01/2022 20:35

@Ihopeyourcakeisshit I think these are the ones I have - they are so good!

LouLou789 · 11/01/2022 20:49

£15 mega bendy little Habitat lamp from Argos. Brilliant for crosswords/Zoom calls as you can bend and twist it to the exact place and direction needed.

Revlon volumiser hairdryer (short hair version)

Sweetpeasaremadeofcheese · 11/01/2022 21:02

Yes to tape dispenser! I can't believe I went so long without one, fiddling with bastard tape!
Hairdressing scissors- I've been rocking a fringe lately and look heaps younger. A hairdresser has NEVER cut my hair right.
Period pants, I won't go back to my mooncup now.
My phone case that balances on my treadmill just so, so that I can actually watch shows in peace under the guise of exercising.

Westmeathtip · 11/01/2022 21:23

Audible
Dog
Kindle
Using Alexa for adding things to my shopping list
Using regular deliveries of heavy stuff like milk and water
Futility room
Really good vacuum cleaner
Vax (see dog)
Robot hoover
Steam mop (see dog)
Stair gate (see dog)

Icantremembermyusername · 11/01/2022 21:35

Alexa shopping list as i always forgot the paper list but never my phone.
Nice lounge wear. I can now open the door at midday and not feel like a slob in my dressing gown.
Milk frother. Weekends are special with foamy coffee!

Dontsayyouloveme · 11/01/2022 21:40

Cutting out alcohol
Getting a cat
Cordless Shark Hoover
Cutting down on beauty appointments

nomorefrogs · 11/01/2022 21:50

My weighted blanket
Smart plugs so I can boil my kettle from bed and tell Alexa to turn off lights and control my robot hoover
My dishwasher
Air fryer for delicious chips
A box to store my pukka teas
Life is sorted!

pastypirate · 11/01/2022 22:00

@Laiste

The Marie Kondo Japenese tidying up book.

My God.

We're an average household - not horders or anything - but bugger me the AMOUNT of stuff i got rid of. To charity mostly.

Bags and bags and bags of it.
Now i have space and the contents of my drawers are lovely to behold when i pull them open :)

It was a few years ago but yes that book changed my life too!
