To ask you why you are awake?

I've been suffering from awful stomach pains for two hours, on and off the toilet, now going to run a hot bath (at 1:30am!) to try and soothe it. Keep me company and stop me from going insane - I'm in so much pain!

What are you doing? Are you okay? What's keeping you up? :-)

Any baby news yet :)

YukoandHiro · 10/01/2022 00:27

Hope everyone who struggled last night has a better time this evening. Not so far here - DD who is 4 and still in night nappies apparently tried to take it off in her sleep to go but didn't fully wake and has wet the bed so had to do a change and Dd who is 1 is really restless, babbling in her sleep. Hope she's not getting ill

YukoandHiro · 10/01/2022 00:28

Oooh yes, hope this expecting babies are only awake because they are now feeding newborns :)

Since DH died in September I now don't go to bed until 2am. I am not sure why. I did try going to bed earlier the other day but felt terrible the next day so have decided 4-5hrs sleep is best for now. I was ironing school shirts for tomorrow at midnight.

bloodywhitecat · 10/01/2022 01:29

@badlydrawnbear and @ghostmouse and anyone else who is grieving a loved one, Flowers to you.

Fear of what is to come keeps me awake at the moment, I can't remember a night without fear at the moment. I am so not ready to face the future.

Houseofvelour · 10/01/2022 01:48

My anxiety is through the roof for the first time in years.
I'm doing everything I can to calm down but I'm panicking too much to go to sleep right now.

@sjxoxo baby boy born 16.27pm today Halo

MrsCremuel · 10/01/2022 01:54

Feeding the baby and trying not to encourage his wakefulness…but it’s hard to ignore the huge grins ❤️

Toasterandjam · 10/01/2022 01:54

I've also got stomach pains but it's the day after you OP so hopefully you're feeling better now! Mines due to eating some crap food that doesn't agree with me and now I'm suffering with extreme wind as well and a sore left hip. Think the pain has somehow radiated down. Hoping I'll get so tired i can go back up and sleep.just taken 2 indigestion tablets to see if they'll help.Blush

Heard tonight that my childhood best friends’ mum passed away earlier. Can’t stop crying. I’m just so sad for their family. She was a wonderful, kind, welcoming person who lit up everyone’s life.

FrenchyQ · 10/01/2022 02:19

Something in my bedroom keeps sparking my allergic rhinitis, so awake with a streaming nose again.
Was hoping we'd solved it today as Hoovered and dusted everywhere and decluttered, but no, here we are again.

LittleMouseOnTheFairy · 10/01/2022 02:35

I’ve developed a bad habit of staying awake until 3am. The morning is going to be horrible.

Colitis flare up 🚽🧻

Magnited · 10/01/2022 02:47

Woke up to some strange noises and lights coming in from the woods outside. We (three of us) have been out for around an hour trying to understand who it is with some night vision gear. No luck as the lights have peeled off round the side of the hill a bit and are now resting on the ground. It is a long string in a wavy WW shape. Sadly they do not photograph well on our phones. We came back and will go out in the car in a bit to a lane the other side where will be closer.

oiwiththepoodlesalready83 · 10/01/2022 02:50

DS (2) woke up at 1:30 because his nappy leaked, I managed to change him and get him cleaned up without turning the lights on, but now he’s wide awake thinking it’s play time. Luckily I don’t have work tomorrow so I’m hoping he’ll sleep in.

Volterra · 10/01/2022 02:57

My Stepmum had a call from hospital this evening to say my Dad’s Cancer has spread , he’s developed pneumonia and she should go in. Wednesday he went to the GP as was constipated, next minute he is in hospital. He was down here less than 3 weeks and seemed on good form.

RedHot22 · 10/01/2022 02:59

DH and I had an argument
Neither of us are well so I can’t sleep.

We have a difficult week ahead.

I’m sorry for those who are bereaved and unsure of the future xx

Invasionofthegutsnatchers · 10/01/2022 03:03

Covid headache Sad

Get well soon OP

Sirzy · 10/01/2022 03:06

Autistic Ds has been sleeping badly recently. Tonight he has broken his own record and managed a grand total of 0 minutes sleep 💤

ClaudiusTheGod · 10/01/2022 03:10

Another perimenopause & widowhood insomniac here. Makes me happy to think that somewhere, someone has just brought a baby into the world though Smile

SpindleyCrow · 10/01/2022 03:12

I woke up from 3 hours’ sleep having a nightmare. I’m getting them more frequently these days, the nightmares and sweaty anxiety dreams. I’m wide awake now, thinking I don’t like this personal matrix, thank you very much.

Popskipiekin · 10/01/2022 03:15

@Invasionofthegutsnatchers sorry about your headache. I have the most godawful head which I assume relates to my covid booster I had a day ago, nothing will shift it. DS (5) is unwell which usually would be waking me up but fortunately Hmm I’m already awake. Hurrah…

@Sirzy that sounds unbelievably awful for both you and DS. What’s happening right now?

lemonsaretheonlyfruit · 10/01/2022 03:16

My 11 year old DS has taken to creeping into my bed half way through the night. This is the 7th night in a row. There is no DH and there is plenty of room but I think it might be related to my 15 year old DD and her MH issues. They are quite close but not in a way that she can articulate. I have given him the basics and he's quite protective but I think he's worried. I am too of course but would also quite like my half of the duvet back Hmm

Tempusfudgeit · 10/01/2022 03:21

My 2 year old has a temperature and keeps saying 'ow head'. Two days ago husband was pinged and we're waiting for PCR test results. Scared we've all got covid. I'm pregnant too.
