To ask you why you are awake?

I've been suffering from awful stomach pains for two hours, on and off the toilet, now going to run a hot bath (at 1:30am!) to try and soothe it. Keep me company and stop me from going insane - I'm in so much pain!

What are you doing? Are you okay? What's keeping you up? :-)

4 day old baby- stirring for a feed. I’m sat here steeling myself for the pain and trying not to cry about it. God I hate these early days of breastfeeding!

I'm working a night shift. Just taking my coffee break now.

Staying with my Mum who just had her hip replaced. Sleeping in my childhood bedroom wide awake because of the bloody menopause worrying about everything I possibly can.

2.30pm in the afternoon here, just finished making a pair of curtains and sitting down for a snack.

My waters broke about 9:45 and I’m now in the maternity unit awaiting my baby boy 😬

I’m awake because my 14 month old monkey brains DS woke at 1.15am and wouldn’t go back to sleep everytime I popped him back in his cot he was up shouting for me and trying to climb out the thing again finally went back down at 3.20am and now I’m beyond wide awake 😬 start work at 10am (the joys of working in retail management) 🙄

Think insomnia brought on by perimenopause.
Also don't sleep very well when DH is on nights, house is very creaky tonight 👀

No proper break for me and another senior care, only 2 of us on for 25 residents. It's that time of night where I want to sit down and sleep.

Side effects of radiotherapy and chemotherapy...have been awake since 2.30am...... :-(

I fell asleep before 9pm so feel wide awake now. Fibromyalgia is also playing up so can't get back to sleep.

I’m just resettling 15 week old DS. He woke up as he had peed through his nappy and clothes and sleeping bag on his third wake up of the night. Three year old DD is in the bed too, holding my arm in her sleep.

Grumbling tooth.
Not enough pain for paracetamol, but enough to knock sleep off.
Dentist appt in two weeks.
Just swabbed gum with clove oil.
Now I want apple turnover.

Listening to cricket on radio 4LW.

7 week old baby. Have had 2 weeks of good sleeps which makes tonight’s non settling even more difficult! Enjoying the snuggles though 🥰

Worrying about two of my daughters and son in Residential care home (due to severe, multiple complex disabilities). The home was inspected by unannounced visit by Inspector and Home was deemed to be failing and on Special measures. Been re-graded to Needs Improvement. High staff turnover. His bathroom is always dirty, he has cracked and bleeding feet at the moment and his diet is terrible (fast food five a week). Other mealtimes are highly processed foods and this is daily.
Feel v bad he’s in a home and I failed him and two out of my three daughters are struggling (one with anorexia, the other with depression and anxiety). Feeling helpless and a huge unequivocal failure as a mum. Crying.

I think I'm in labour Contractions started 3am.

A lot of different reasons why we all in the wide awake club, some sad, some happy and for some of us chasing sleep to no avail.
For me, I fell asleep for a little while and woke up angry over how I'd been treated appallingly over Christmas and the new year. I am following the 'script' of no contact and trying to put it behind me and move on. However the events are burning deep still. I don't want to feel like this, I suppose it will lessen over time.
