Also have a friend with a couple of boxers, Fred and George. She says lots (maybe even most) other boxers she has met have names of boxers and the owners always think they have been so original, so she said she has met lots called Rocky and Tyson in particular, but also Floyd, Ali, Frank/Bruno, Lennox and even a Barry!

We nearly called our dog Gary. As it was just such a terrible name for a dog. But when he turned up we just couldn’t do it

My dad's mate had a dog called Pubdog. Always made me smile.

I'm in Wales and there is a dog local to me call Madog, which is a legitimate variation on the spelling of the welsh name Madoc.

My dog is Egon (Ghostbusters).

A friend of a friend has a dog called "Kate Moss The Model". Another has a dog called Toast. I once met a beagle called Bagel.

Best cat's name was Tyrant.

My cat's old mum called him Kitten and he's definitely not a kitten now.

So how about Puppy for a Rottweiler?

A Dachshund (sausage dog) named Berland, so that when they shout "Come Berland" it sounds like Cumberland.

I once knew two Yorkshire Terriers called Benson and Hedges. Yappy little fuckers, they were. Also knew another YT nicknamed John. As in John Terry(er). Apparently the dog was a randy sod!

There's a GSD next door to DM called Jurgen.
