I have never heard that before, but, yes, because DC1 tidied her bedroom yesterday and filled an entire washing basket when I already had a basket full from being away for a few days over Christmas. DC1 seems to have put all her school uniform in the wash despite obviously not wearing it since it was last washed, so I have to wash it ready for next week.

Yes, I only observe superstitions that help me or are fun in some way. My DM os annually horrified that I do!

Nope washed all laundry, floors, dishes & hair yesterday. Hands only today.

Also put all rubbish/recycling out yesterday (nothing at all should leave the house today either) I'm not sure what the 'rule' is about people or things that come back with you (costs/umbrellas etc) but for me, they don't count! Just rubbish/recycling/gifts etc

I need to wash my uniform for tomorrow so I'll have to. I try not to usually even though deep down I know it's a load of bollocks.

No. The only day of the year I don't do laundry.

All bedding already in the washer! It's the only thing I do every new year is change the bedding! Don't know why, it just makes me feel like fresh bedding = fresh start 🤷‍♀️

Today is the first day in about two weeks that it looks as if I might get stuff dry outside. I cannot miss that opportunity 🤣
