I've just found the crunchie I bought for myself before Christmas and hid then forgot about it.

A nice lady called Ellie at E.on has resolved an error with my gas bill meaning its now £151 rather than £697.58

Took DS (9) and nephew nearly to to beach and they paddled and twirled about all over the place.

DDs new set of guitar strings have arrived and she is happily strumming away again.

I have discovered that Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy is on BBC sounds

The 3 little pendants I ordered to go on my chain before Christmas were waiting for me when I got home from work.

LFT were in stock when I ordered online this morning.

DH has has hoovered and mopped the floors so I don’t have to do it tomorrow.

It’s been a fairly easy going day in work and now it’s a 3 day weekend.

I have a nice clean bed to get into later.

I had a friend round for coffee this morning and then a friend I haven’t seen in four years said they were in my town and came round for tea this morning. Borrow my doggy people took my dogs for a walk this morning. I got a bit of work done and had uninterrupted sleep last night.

Went swimming by myself at 8am, 30 minutes of calm.
Spent a happy hour with Dh looking back at old photos.
Browsed a Greek hotel website that we are thinking of booking for the summer.

That’s only 3 but that’s pretty good for me.

Planted 222 bulbs this morning - looking forward to spring!

DD5 is playing with Harry Potter LEGO and the Christmas LEGO - the narration is hilarious and I’m having to stifle my giggles.

DDs 13/10 are off to their Dads tonight for NYE so that means I can go to bed when DD5 does

Aside from the LEGO, the living room is shiny clean, which is a rare occurrence due to me being ill, so that’s pleasing me.

Had a lie-in and didn't get up until 10am - this is not the norm for me

Went to the last day of the local Christmas market

The weather today has been beautiful

I bought my mum a plant which she is over the moon with

Had a lovely family moment in the car park lift with my DH and DS

I just managed to get some LFTs!

Lots of customers wished me a Happy New Year at work earlier.

I just had a bit of chocolate chip shortbread that was all soft and crumbly and perfect.

In a similar vein - chocolate exists.

I got a three pack of garlic baguettes reduced to 25p in the shop earlier!

DH is cooking us roast chicken and Dad gave us a bottle of Bollinger for Christmas which is chilling in the fridge.

My PCR test was negative.

I asked DH to get me some tissues when he was out, and he came home with 16 packets. 😆

He texted me ILY earlier, out of the blue. Even though I'm upstairs in bed, looking like crap and sneezing. 🥰

DS1 finally felt well enough (after Covid) to go back to work, so he'll have a fun, busy night and earn a fortune.

Had a lovely buffet lunch with my parents and the kids.
OH has pre ordered the Chinese for 6:30pm so we don't have to order really early or late.
DSD who is older is helping toddler DS re build his train track and are happily playing together.
When DS woke up this morning and I saw he was happily kookig at his new Zog book.
OH isn't working tonight so we can all be together tonight and tommorow.

I meant Looking at his book and I realised it's DH not OH.

Anticipation of presents tomorrow (Russian NYE tradition) - and I’ve asked DH for exactly what I want so I’ll be happy and Hush will remain in business for another year

I have baby twins who, if I do say so myself, are the cuddliest and nap-happiest things ever.

DD (4) has discovered Sumdog and is happily occupied for ages by something other than bastarding Paw Patrol.

Counting down to nursery being back (please, covid).

I made schnitzels earlier, which I don’t do often because inevitably the entire house gets coated in a thin slick of frying oil, and they taste absolutely delicious.

Onwards to 2022 here

We had a lie in and dh made coffee in bed

I've cleaned out the fridge and used leftovers up for at least 4 dinners this week out the freezer

Dd 16 is happy she's off out for the her first new year Eve with friends other dd's away with partners

Dh and I are alone on new year's for the first time in 20 years
Lovely dinner and champagne together just enjoying our time alone !

Dd,dh and I played a lovely few games of cards after lunch.

My dog enjoyed his long walk and even had a paddle
I used my new bag for the first time
It didn’t rain
Got to sleep in later than 8am
Had a Toastie for lunch

My almost 7 week old baby has started smiling !!

My family are all healthy.

My house is fairly clean and tidy

I have lots of nice things in to eat

I have lots to look forward to in 2022

Umm...

• my DM has taken the DC for a NYE sleepover, so I've been soaking in the bath with wine for two hours so far.
• there's a new Joni Mitchell compilation on Spotify that I've been enjoying whilst in here.
• I had a phone interview for a new job this morning and it seemed to go very well.
• we got DS's holiday homework project completed and he's justifiably proud of it. DD has made a start on hers, but she's older so it'll take longer to finish.
• DH and I are getting on really well atm, and I'm looking forward to seeing the new year in together. Our relationship has it ups and downs, and there were times during lockdown when I seriously contemplated divorce, but he's still my best friend, and I'm glad we stuck it out. I actually love him more now than ever, we've kept each other stable, and been strong for each other in the toughest of times.

A customer called me a 'superstar' and thanked me for sorting an issue with his car after his mate (who knows loads about cars 🙄) let him down. He actually made a phone call to thank me which was lovely.

I have lots of nice food & drink in for this evening.

I only had to work half a day

I spoke to my mum and dad on the phone.

A lad at work used the phrase 'sweating like a glass blowers arsehole' which frankly, made me cry with laughter.

My Dh made me breakfast in bed❤️

Finished work an hour earlier than anticipated.

Stopped raining and is quite mild.

Waitrose reduced section was brilliant.

Big Boy cat came hurtling down the stairs to greet me as I came in and had to have cuddles before I took my cost off.
