I've fallen in love with a leather purse in the sale £95 reduced from £190
I'm tempted but so soon after Xmas gifts I'm not sure if I can justify it.
Would you?
Is it too expensive ?

Yes treat yourself gal
WheresTheBear · 28/12/2021 23:13

If you can afford it, get it

Justnotfeelingit · 28/12/2021 23:14

Yes. My purse cost a fair bit more than that and I felt horribly guilty for buying it. BUT, it’s now been on constant use for two years and it still makes me happy.

Buy the purse.

Unicorn leather?!😂
I wouldn't ever but I'd spend it on books & fabric so 🤷‍♀️

If you can afford it & will love it why not? it's probably good value if you'll use & love it every day.

AbandonedCharacter · 28/12/2021 23:15

It's not expensive if you can afford it! Does buying it mean you'll struggle to pay bills? Or just not going out as much in January? I tried myself to a nice leather purse (but much cheaper!,) with Christmas money last year and it gives me do much pleasure every time I use it.

JackieCollinshasnoauthority · 28/12/2021 23:15

Yes, if you use it for a year then it costs 26p a day. It's a bargain!

louloulemmonnnn · 28/12/2021 23:16

No all my bills are paid this month and have spare money.
I go through so many purses but they all cheap ones under £20 so after a while look tatty.
I'm not a shoe woman but absolutely love purses and handbags.
I've put it in my basket and il sleep on it.

Please link the purse after you buy it - or decide not to!

Catquestion · 28/12/2021 23:16

Have you got a link?

I don’t think it’s too expensive for something that’s good quality, will last and that you’ll use most days Smile

Holothane · 28/12/2021 23:18

If it will last years then do so once brought a £100 leather bag oh 20 years ago loved it accidentally left it behind when I left ex, he threw it out please buy and enjoy your purse.

Totalwasteofpaper · 28/12/2021 23:18

Yes. do it.

My current purse is furla and looks great after 4 years....

Margo34 · 28/12/2021 23:19

Go for it, will probably last a lot longer and therefore work out cheaper in the long run than buying cheap purse after cheap purse.

It's a thing in regular use so it needs to last!

Wineandroses3 · 28/12/2021 23:20

Can you share a pic of the purse! I am looking for a new purse too

golddustwomen · 28/12/2021 23:20

Yes! Do it! As a pp mentioned, my purse cost a fair bit more than that but it makes me happy every time I get it out of my bag! I truly love it!

Buy the purse Xmas Grin

purpleme12 · 28/12/2021 23:21

Ha no way would I spend that much on a purse!

MerryChristmas21 · 28/12/2021 23:22

Do you want to post a link?

I don't know, really hard to answer as I don't buy leather & don't use a purse 😵‍💫

I have a canvas bag that I love, but not used since pre covid, it's getting a bit old now & they don't make them the same, but if I could get an identical one I'd pay £100 for it, despite the original costing about £40.

Do you need a new purse?

Also, I guess it depends on your income if that's a lot of money or not to you really. Will you/anyone have to go without anything for you to buy it?

itsutterlyshit · 28/12/2021 23:23

Absolutely. Real leather will last longer than cheap £20 purses. If you like it and can afford it, buy it.

I treated myself to a very expensive purse 8 years ago, I've used it every single day since. Definitely worth the money

louloulemmonnnn · 28/12/2021 23:24

I don't have a clue how to post a link Confused
I will try to upload a pic

If you can afford it do. I usually get them as gifts but the last one had died a death after a fair few years.
I got one for €25 during the summer and it's a state. Luckily I got a lovely one from my secret Santa so was able to bin it.
In future if I'm buying a purse myself it'll either be good quality leather or under a tenner from the high street. Any high street one's I've had before lasted fine.

louloulemmonnnn · 28/12/2021 23:25

I'm using my mobile that's all so not sure how to copy and paste (technology isn't my strong point )

Yes if you can afford it. Mines was also more than that and three years on it looks immaculate. Plus it feels so lovely compared to the £20 ones I’d been using.

However it still does the same thing so if you can’t afford it don’t buy it!

RosesAndHellebores · 28/12/2021 23:28

In a heartbeat if you can afford it. A good quality purse lasts at least a decade.

DramaAlpaca · 28/12/2021 23:28

If you love it and can afford it - do it.

IHopeYouStepOnALegPiece · 28/12/2021 23:29

Yup absolutely.!
I had a lovely card holder with a little zip but from Aspinal that was £85. It was stolen just before Christmas and I’d replace it in a heartbeat if I could afford to. Go for it if you love it!

coronafiona · 28/12/2021 23:29

I wouldn't it's an awful lot of money- to me. But I would spend that on something I do value, each to their own.
