Why are you up?

Love these threads when I'm up in the night. Makes me feels less alone!

I'm up because of restless legs and my enormous roast dinner I had today is playing havoc with my stomach now. I've ordered some magnesium spray for the restless legs and took some Gaviscon for the stomach. Watching Gavin and Stacey with the dog until I feel better

I’m up because I live abroad and it’s not quite bedtime here yet.

Hope you feel better soon OP!

frenchiemummy92 · 27/12/2021 02:44

I'm up because I'm poorly 😫. Currently laid with my DP snoring and my 3 year old who is taking up most of my bed.

RussianSpy101 · 27/12/2021 02:48

My DS1 is facing night terrors :( so exhausted and is the 4th time this week I’ve been awake til almost 3am. Feel so sorry for him.

Can't sleep after falling asleep earlier. Now stewing over relationship & Xmas crap, etc.

ISpyCobraKai · 27/12/2021 02:49

No apparent reason, just can't sleep again.
I think it's a menopausal thing as it keeps happening.

Lightstoobright · 27/12/2021 02:50

My mind is just all awake! Can't force myself to sleep. Hoping that I get tired soon.

BourbonScreams · 27/12/2021 02:50

Awake because I've been slowly destroying my sleep pattern recently, I've been trying to fix it by waking up early-ish anyway but then I just fall asleep for a couple of hours mid afternoon and I'm back to square one! Blush

Appreciate the solidarity OP Xmas Smile

MonicaGellerBing · 27/12/2021 02:51

Thanks @Rainbows89

Oh no @frenchiemummy92 what's up?

My DS went through a phase of night terrors @RussianSpy101 I feel your pain

I'm wide awake now, I don't know how I'm going to fall back to sleep! Hopefully DH will get up with the 5 year old in the morning and I can lie in!

I had surgery a few days ago and I’m waiting for the next lot of pain killers. 8 minutes to go

MonicaGellerBing · 27/12/2021 02:52

@Tee20x oh I feel for you. It seems never ending when they start mixing with other kids, cold after cold it's exhausting

OP posts:
MonicaGellerBing · 27/12/2021 02:53

Bless you @Rose789 just take them now! I'm sure 8 mins won't matter

PissedOffNeighbour22 · 27/12/2021 02:53

I'm always awake within an hour of falling asleep. If I'm lucky I'll fall back to sleep around 6am for an hour or so. My DP js at work so it irritates me that I'm not having a lovely long comfy sleep alone in bed.

I'm 7mths pregnant so suffering with restless legs, backache, sciatica etc. plus I have a horrendous cold so can hardly breathe.

I'm going to look up the magnesium spray!

Mochatatts · 27/12/2021 02:53

I'm on night one of two nights shifts. Trying to keep myself occupied while the client is sleeping. Stewing over my relationship, again. Come on mumsnet to read that other people have the same issues makes me feel less alone.

frenchiemummy92 · 27/12/2021 02:53

@MonicaGellerBing I've woken up with a cough, sweating so much I've had to change pjs, collar bones aching, arm hurts where I've had covid jab months ago and ear ache. No temperature, run out of new LFTs so I've had to use the old innova throat and nose swabs. Not sure how trustworthy they are but it's negative.

I'm hoping DP will get up with our two as well lol.

MonicaGellerBing · 27/12/2021 02:54

Sympathies @PissedOffNeighbour22 I remember all those ailments when I was pregnant it's a nightmare! Definitely check out magnesium spray! It's a miracle worker apparently 🤞

Upupupintheair · 27/12/2021 02:55

I’m up as I’m feeding DS. He’s finished his bottle and now fighting sleep… 😭

MonicaGellerBing · 27/12/2021 02:55

Oh sounds grim @frenchiemummy92 maybe a PCR tomorrow? Dose up on paracetamol, hope you're better soon

OP posts:
MonicaGellerBing · 27/12/2021 02:55

frenchiemummy92 · 27/12/2021 02:56

@MonicaGellerBing broken car and live in a village so think I'll have to order a postal test 🤦🏻‍♀️. I've just taken some so hopefully they kick in x

BourbonScreams · 27/12/2021 02:57

DirectionToPerfection · 27/12/2021 02:57

Staying with my sister as she has a big birthday tomorrow (was here for Christmas too) but at this point I just want my own bed, food, etc.

Also feeling very bloated so I got up to make a chamomile tea, just hope I haven't woken anyone.

MonicaGellerBing · 27/12/2021 02:58

Oh no @frenchiemummy92! The postal ones take ages as well, they do round here anyway.
