Do you have a unique skill which is absolutely useless??

If I wake up during the night, I am able to tell the time almost exactly before I look at the clock! I don't know how I do it! Such a completely useless skill but I thought it might be a fun topic for a dull Boxing Day!

@ShinySquirrel

I can close my nostrils over. I can also open and close them very quickly.
I can do this! I haven't ever met anyone else who can! 🤛

@Ibane thank you

@astoundedgoat I am sensitive to the change in electrical charge in the atmosphere I guess. Tbf it makes me feel quite unwell . Odd feeling in my head, slurred speech, excessive blinking that sort of thing. But I am accurate. I have confidently said not today when the weather has forecast a chance of storm and been triggered before a storm hits.

Many years ago I was at an Epilepsy Action meeting during a thunderstorm and fairly new to it. The others were all people living with epilepsy or their carers. Several people were asking me if I was alright? As the meeting finished a lady grabbed me and prevented me leaving the building. So thankful because if she hadn’t I would have had a massive seizure in pouring rain. For a long while I stupidly thought, how did she know? Then it dawned on me, it takes one to know one.

If I talk to someone on the phone I know what colour hair they’ve got, even if it’s dyed.

Dh doesn’t believe me 🤷🏻‍♀️ Meh.

@beccahamlet

I can do the telling the time thing too. Often to the minute. Sometimes a minute or 2 out. How do we do it? I can also write in a mirror image. So if you hold it up to a mirror you can read it as normal. Apparently Leonardo da Vinci could do it. It is common in people with autism, but I am NT.
I can do mirror writing too! I remember as a child writing normally with my right hand, and at the same time writing the same thing backwards with my left.

I can parallel park really well and it has the added bonus of winding DH up a treat (as he can’t!)
