Ever watched a new show you love and no-one else has seen it?

I just started watching This Is Us this week and I’m completely hooked but no-one else I know has seen it or wants to see it. It’s rubbish when this happens and you want someone else to get excited about it with you. It was the same when I watched Fleabag and The End of the Fucking World. Ever had this happen to you?

DH and I were obsessed with the legal drama For The People and no one I knew had heard of it or were watching it. I fell in love with one of the main characters, the next time he popped up he was the sexy duke in Bridgerton Grin

Snowfall - loved every single episode of every series. Nobody else has heard of it 😮

Harlots - binge watched every episode last year in lockdown. Again, nobody else has seen it 😒

Not super recent but I loved Rizzoli and Isles and no one else seems to have ever watched it.
I loved Rizzoli and Isles too. They were quite different in tone from the books, which is usually a bad thing but actually the books were a little too grim IMO. There was a lot of humour in the TV version.

Life in Pieces. Brilliant cast, very funny scripts.

Yes. Patriot. No one has even heard of it and I loved it SO much.

To any Patriot fans out there, I say: Afternoon Spray and Piping, the MacMillan Way.

BurbageBrook · 23/12/2021 22:17

I really enjoyed that and then it just seemed to stop in the middle of a series. Are there new episodes?

I'm the only person I know who's watched Grace and Frankie. Grace is Jane Fonda.

U8976532 · 23/12/2021 22:30

Friday Night Lights

FallonCarringtonWannabe · 23/12/2021 22:31

Nobody I know has watched Ted Lasso or the morning show. They are both brilliant. I also loved kevin can f himself and we are currently watching young Sheldon.

HerculesMulligan · 23/12/2021 22:33

I also love This Is Us. TBH, I just want Randall and Beth to be my very best friends.

Lie to me - was on Netflix a few years ago. Its about people who can tell if a person is lying using microexpressions on your face. Deald like me - a moody girl who dies and comes back to life as a reaper helping people into the afterlife. Game of thrones when I watched it LAST YEAR and everyone had already seen it Xmas Confused
We loved Dead like me...don't ever watch the film tho, it's terrible.
elizabethdraper · 23/12/2021 22:36

I agree with the poster who said the cleaner, it’s hilarious.
Mine is living with yourself on Netflix, with Paul Rudd (x 2 he has a clone) and Aisling Bea who is hilarious. No one I know has seen it!

Jerble · 23/12/2021 22:42

We loved For The People as well. Also This Is Us and New Amsterdam.

DressingPafe · 23/12/2021 22:50

Revenge on Netflix, a Thai drama. Best show ever in my 52 years on this earth! But then Netflix removed it and I wanted to cry! But then, when searching for another show, Found a site where i could download it. A mini Christmas miracle I tell you ;)

scurryfunger · 23/12/2021 22:51

The Hook Up Plan on Netflix it's French and soooo good - there's a bonus episode at the end based around the pandemic - it's quirky funny

Halston - Ewan McGregor as you've never seen him before - it fabulous!

Also already mentioned but
This is Us
Jane the Virgin
Anne with an E
Harlots was amazing!

Oh sorry!! This is what happens when you are self employed and none of few friends watch TV Smile anyway I'm glad it's as popular as it should be!

Australian drama called love my way. Wish they'd made another series.

redfairy · 23/12/2021 23:05

Zomboat. Combining zombies, canalboats and Birmingham. What's not to love
