Mtv on in background, sclub7 'never had a dream come true' is on and have such nostalgia for the sparkly, shimmery make up of the late 90s, Rimmel's Heather Shimmer, Fudge Brownie and glitter gel, butterfly clips, hair mascara and all that!

Have you got your skirt/trouser combo on? Can smell the Fuzzy Peach perfume from here @MichelleScarn Grin

Bagelsandbrie · 12/12/2021 22:57

Oh my goodness how I loved coffee shimmer! And Dewberry lipbalm from Body Shop.

MichelleScarn · 12/12/2021 22:58

White Musk perfume from Body Shop, silver nail varnish from Boots Seventeen, Kickers wedges, 501 Levi's just to name a few - I miss it all!

ForestDragon · 12/12/2021 23:25

I still use heather shimmer sometimes - it really suits me.... Well I hope it does 🤔

marmiteloversunite · 12/12/2021 23:33

Amethyst shimmer for me. Still have it. Grin

SinisterBumFacedCat · 12/12/2021 23:47

Amethyst Shimmer was brilliant! Also loved body shop Pink Ginger lipstick. White Musk, Ananya, Coconut, Dewberries all the delights of the Body Shop perfume bar. Spectacular Nail varnish 99p in Dancing Queen (exactly the same shade as dairy milk foil) or Brighton Rock (same colour as Brighton Rock), or Miss Selfridge bringing out different tiny nail varnishes almost every week. I miss thin eyebrows as standard waxing protocol so much. I swear we were all slimmer then because we spent our weekends marching up and down busy high streets.

Now days it’s dull Online shopping, make up in 500 shades of beige, Bert and Ernie drawn on eyebrows and enough contouring to make you look like a member of the Cats cast.

Sun moon stars perfume was amazing

Fluffymule · 12/12/2021 23:53

Twilight Teaser was my lippy of choice back then. With pink and blue eyeshadow. Fabulous times.

BobbieT1999 · 12/12/2021 23:55

I had amethyst shimmer too Grin
Still feel nostalgic for Impulse O2!

JurgensCakeBabyJesus · 12/12/2021 23:59

Don't forget heather shimmer's less lilac sibling coffee shimmer. So? Body spray, short skirts with a men's shirt (Ben Sherman) and teenage girls wearing Jean Paul gaultier aftershave or ck one!

HelloNope · 13/12/2021 00:00

Ah 90's.
But damn you op, now I can't get that song out of my head!

Never had a dream come true
'Till the day that I found you
Even though I'll pretend that I've moved on
You'll always be MY BABY!!!

IncorrigibleTitmouse · 13/12/2021 00:01

Heather shimmer, Wild Musk and So...? perfume, Sugar, Bliss and Mizz magazines (while sneakily reading More and Company in Tesco while my Mum was shopping. Barry M Dazzle Dust, stick on jewelled bindis and those Shaders/Toners you could shampoo into your hair. Trousers under dresses, butterfly clips and foam Skechers sandals.

I saw big, chunky loafers in a shop the other day. It was shocking... 😂

DragonMamma · 13/12/2021 00:08

How has nobody mentioned Exclamation! perfume. It was the best.

I always remember those shitty bath pearls that did naff all too.

Max Factors Pan stick was a local hero too.

BobbieT1999 · 13/12/2021 00:12

Zig zag partings and those zig zag headbands that you wrapped around hour head and used the teeth to push your hair flat at the front.

Youngatheart00 · 13/12/2021 00:13

Charlie Red perfume. God, I felt SO hot wearing that 🤣

Also Maybelline Dream Matt Mousse foundation….cakey as f*ck!

sadeyedladyofthelowlandsea · 13/12/2021 00:56

I still remember the jingle for Exclamation! 'Make a statement...without saying a word'

Thinking about the competitive nature of various perfumes & body sprays, we must have smelt worse than a Lush shop.

Bagelsandbrie · 13/12/2021 06:20

Oh yes- sneakily reading position of the week in More! BlushGrin

Moneypennysfreedomfund · 13/12/2021 06:30

Big devotee of amethyst shimmer, no7 eye shadow palettes, exclamation ( which you can still buy) fuzzy peach and Tribe!

maudmadrigal · 13/12/2021 06:32

Oh yes to all of this! I reluctantly decided that Sugar Plum rimmel suited me better than Heather Shimmer. And it was Kiwi fruit body shop.lip balm for us.
All the cool kids at school had Head bags (early 90s).

TheBermudaTriangle · 13/12/2021 06:33

Will join you with my severe zig-zag parting, and my crappy hair mascara.

Sparklingbrook · 13/12/2021 06:33

Heather Shimmer was 80s too. Grin
