What is your favourite conspiracy theory?

I love the crazy conspiracy theories. So my favourite ones are that birds arent real and that Paul McCartney is dead and the man we see now is a lookalike.

A family member believes in every conspiracy theory going. From earth being flat, the queen is a reptile and all royals are paedophiles, vaccines are dangerous and cause autism and kill babys/adults, toothpaste is poison, they once thought a helicopter flying above them was a government spy, New world order is real. I could go on and on! It's absolutely wild!
I think we share a family member!

Bit sick, but completely ridiculous. AIDS was man made to cull gay people because of population control. If that was true, then surely gay men are the last people to target. Another popular one was Michael Jackson faked his death to clear his debts.

However, I do think the Kurt Cobain being murdered sounds plausible

A yoga teacher at the local gym firmly believes that Obama, Trump and Tony Blair got together and masterminded a plan to release a virus that would kill off a lot of the elderly population and save governments a fortune in health and social care. Other countries wanted in on this genius plan and so CoVid was created. Sadly it was more dangerous than they planned for and started killing other people too. The only reason that this isn't reported in the papers/tv/radio is because Bill Gates controls all the news outlets.

I do this, it drives him mad. I also like to put the word Physics in speech marks (he has a Physics degree)

We switched into a different timeline (multiverse?) when they switched on the large hadron collider in 2008 and that’s why we have the Mandela effect - people remember the ‘old’ timeline.

I quite like the aliens on the moon during the first moon landing. Bus Aldrin took part in a "documentary" about it and said that the broadcast was public domain but the medical channel wasnt so they used the medical channel to discuss the aliens and he said they were standing and could see the aliens standing watching them. He said they didnt make any moves, they just watched.
He did look quite like a batshit, aging, confused man and I feel the show runners took advantage of him maybe to get him to do that.

Regarding the moon landings - for the umpteenth time can I say that the Soviet Union was the first country in space and expected to be the first to land on the moon. They were very sore that the US beat them to it - do you think they didn't track every inch of its progress and scrutinise the technology. The idea that would let the US get away with a fake claim is laughable.

Or were they in on the conspiracy too?

That women's clothing industry is in cahoots with handbag companies - the idea being they don't put pockets on our clothes so more handbags can be sold.

Crop circles. How are they so perfect? If I attempted to do that it would look shit.
I have a theory on crop circles but it’s a bit out there. Sound waves can make patterns (like in this video: ) and they do resemble crop circles in their detail and symmetry. I’m just wondering if this is a natural phenomenon but just how on Earth it can happen seemingly overnight is another thing… 🤷🏻‍♀️

What’s the Flixborough one? I remember my DF being very insistent that he heard about the explosion on the lunchtime news and it didn’t actually happen until 4pm or something. He maintained this all his life.

That Courtney Love hired a hit man to kill Kurt Cobain. The more I’ve read the more it seems it could be true, especially when you see the different handwriting on the end of Kurt’s ‘suicide’ letter.
I watched an interview/ documentary with the actual hit man. I think it might be on YouTube.

The living in a simulation thing is something I can give credence to. Mh DH is almost certain of it. I feel quite comforted by it.
As an atheist I've realised that's the same feeling that people have when they believe in a god. I just don't live my life by it.

Except that Amal is incredibly accomplished and successful in her own right and he’s probably more of a hindrance to her. If anything she married down 😂

Oh totally, I think a lot of similar relationships now are basically open secrets. Amal is stunning and definitely a super high flier (George is lucky to have married her!) Grin
