Might seem a daft request but I have neither in my home so these would be nice to see, especially at this time of year when flames and warmth are needed the most. Cats and dogs in the pictures, making the most of it all, are welcome 🙂.

I have one of those dimplex opti must ones. It's incredibly realistic, everyone has to put their hand into the mist to check its not real. But crap for heat, its just a fan heater.

I'd love a real one, plan to do it one day altho I expect it'd trigger my asthma anyway, is that a problem people have??

Yes. We don't have a proper fire as it triggers my mothers cough.
So we have a fake one with a red light bulb - looks fine. No dust and no coughing!

I’m so glad this thread has returned. It’s lovely and calming.

Mine in the dining room. Just about to put one in the sitting room where we have an open fire that rise rarely used.

I suspect not many fires are being lighted just now with all this mild weather. Might be some disgruntled cats and dogs as a result but they can always find a sunny spot in which to mellow out. Cats are born experts at this.

Free wood is way cheaper than using the central heating, so...

Here's our woodburner. We're about to replace it as a very old inefficient model.

Here's mine in the kitchen with obligatory dog 😉 We've another (multifuel) stove in the living room but that's currently out of action whilst we decorate etc.
