Can we please see pictures of your fireplaces and log burners ?

Might seem a daft request but I have neither in my home so these would be nice to see, especially at this time of year when flames and warmth are needed the most. Cats and dogs in the pictures, making the most of it all, are welcome 🙂.

Ginger and white boys don't seem to have much going on up top do they? 😂. I've got 6 cats, 5 girls and a boy. He really is the dunce of the group. I'm sorry you lost your boy, he looks precious 💐

This pic was ages ago but it popped up on my memories. We burn seasoned logs but luckily DH gets these through his own business so don’t have to buy any.

I'm enjoying seeing photos of all your fires real & pretend as I really miss my wood burning stove that we had in our previous house.
(Though I don't miss the dust it could create!)

The cat likes being in the room with it on, but in front of it is too hot.

The dog apparently has no such concept and he also hasn’t got used to sticks going in and vanishing...

There is something very charming about having the fire lit, warm room, Xmas tree twinkling, room side lights on low, and a glass of wine in front of a movie.

@WildRosie Thank you! it’s a 300 year old tiny 2 up-2 down, just me and the dog. It’s noisy and damp and bits keep falling off but I bloody love it!

Here's mine - it's a double sided job so it's in the sitting room and the dining room/play room. The first photo is the sitting room.

It will be a lot nicer when the fireguard isn't there, but that means the children growing up so I'm not wishing it away!

I had to join in this thread (with cat). Although I'm banned from touching it as it's my husband's pride and joy

The fires are wondeful on I miss having one so much.
