Terror alert - trip to London

Has the recent news made you anxious about going to big cities? I'm due to go to London the end of this week and I feel uneasy about it, I cant decide if to go.

What, exactly, do you think the almost 9 million people who live in London are doing? It’s not like we can stay at home cowering in fear because something bad happened in a city over 200 miles away.

If I was going 'into town' it would be Liverpool, my kids were born in that hospital. Normal city life for most people. On daily basis I don't think I think about it tbh

I'm going at the end of the week. I'm not worried. I wasn't too worried when I lived there, either. So no.

What’s been happening? I don’t watch the news lol I actually live in South London but going into central London tomorrow.

I'm travelling up 3 days a week for work. I'm figuring I've got more chance of catching COVID on the tube or train than getting caught in a terrorist incident. I'm aware and vigilant but I don't let it affect my day.

Dd lives in London and works at a west end theatre. I haven’t given it a 2nd thought.

No, it has not and I think you need to get a grip to be honest, millions of people live there and don't worry about it.

I don't live there and I think OP is being ridiculous.

Terror attacks have happened in the UK since the 1970s and the IRA. That's err 50 odd years.

Sorry you found it unhelpful, but honestly, what do you expect people to say?
