Has the recent news made you anxious about going to big cities? I'm due to go to London the end of this week and I feel uneasy about it, I cant decide if to go.

No, it hasn’t.

MegBusset · 15/11/2021 19:18

No. (And I have been in close proximity to two terror attacks in London in the last 20 years)

WheelieBinPrincess · 15/11/2021 19:18

No you shouldn’t go OP, all the people who live in London are currently in a state of fear and hiding under tables Hmm

Don’t go if it’s going to cause you this much anguish, you have two other threads on this.

Glugglejug · 15/11/2021 19:20

What, exactly, do you think the almost 9 million people who live in London are doing? It’s not like we can stay at home cowering in fear because something bad happened in a city over 200 miles away.

We are just cracking on with it, HTH.

DrEllie · 15/11/2021 19:21

If I was going 'into town' it would be Liverpool, my kids were born in that hospital. Normal city life for most people. On daily basis I don't think I think about it tbh

RoseRedRoseBlue · 15/11/2021 19:21

For goodness sake, get a grip! You do realise that the last two incidents were not in London?

LilyE1234 · 15/11/2021 19:22

No, I live in London. Can’t exactly hide from it!

TurnUpTurnip · 15/11/2021 19:23

No I live here

Bellyups · 15/11/2021 19:24

Terror attacks aren’t new OP. They could happen anytime, anywhere

corlan · 15/11/2021 19:25

Don't come. We can manage without you until this all blows over.

grapewine · 15/11/2021 19:25

I'm going at the end of the week. I'm not worried. I wasn't too worried when I lived there, either. So no.

Bigkingdom · 15/11/2021 19:26

What’s been happening? I don’t watch the news lol I actually live in South London but going into central London tomorrow.

NeedWineNow · 15/11/2021 19:27

I'm travelling up 3 days a week for work. I'm figuring I've got more chance of catching COVID on the tube or train than getting caught in a terrorist incident. I'm aware and vigilant but I don't let it affect my day.

Comefromaway · 15/11/2021 19:27

Dd lives in London and works at a west end theatre. I haven’t given it a 2nd thought.

BananaPB · 15/11/2021 19:29

No. What do you think people living or working in London are doing? Hmm

Waxonwaxoff0 · 15/11/2021 19:30

No, it has not and I think you need to get a grip to be honest, millions of people live there and don't worry about it.

Rainydayss · 15/11/2021 19:30

Some of you are brutal, I have got a grip thank you Redroseblue for your not very helpful comment. Im entitled to be anxious and see if anyone else is.

OP posts:
AlbasJudgementalCrucifix · 15/11/2021 19:31

No. How do you think we’ve all managed to go about our daily lives after other attacks since the 1980s?!

ItsSnotFair · 15/11/2021 19:31

@corlan

Don't come. We can manage without you until this all blows over.
Play nicely

RedHot22 · 15/11/2021 19:32

@Rainydayss

I can see your point. All these people saying “well I live there” obviously have no choice but you do. Peop

I don't live there and I think OP is being ridiculous.

Noavocado · 15/11/2021 19:34

Terror attacks have happened in the UK since the 1970s and the IRA. That's err 50 odd years.

RoseRedRoseBlue · 15/11/2021 19:34

Sorry you found it unhelpful, but honestly, what do you expect people to say?

RedHot22 · 15/11/2021 19:34

……le also live in Beirut but I try and avoid there too
