Terror alert - trip to London

Has the recent news made you anxious about going to big cities? I'm due to go to London the end of this week and I feel uneasy about it, I cant decide if to go.

I’ll caveat by saying I’m certainly not one either, just from your earlier points, the way you write and the fact that you are throwing out so much misinformation I don’t buy for one minute you are a graduate of Oxford university.

If the other things are true then I’m very sorry, although I’m not seeing the relevance it has to OP’s question in the slightest.

I'm off to London tomorrow and no it doesn't affect me.

We've lived with terror threats all our lives. Just need to get on with it.

OK I will tell you my story. My real Mum was, Serbian. She gave me away in 1976. The UK and everyone had invaded. I was adopted at 2yrs and I've had a really happy life. I am mixed colouring and most assume I'm Romanian. The UK soldiers killed my father and then half my husbands family.

In 1976 Serbia was part of Yugoslavia. In the 1970's it was fairly quiet and stable, apart from a minor outbreak of Smallpox and football it never made the news. In 1989 a really nasty guy called Slobodan Milosevic - a Serbian - took power in the country in order to introduce a form of National Socialism. This led to the alienation of people and eventually ethnic division and the break-up of Yugoslavia into six states we know today.

This is some of what happened. Between 1991 and 1995 Serbian snipers shot toddlers and grandmothers from high rise buildings as they queued for food. They kidnapped children walking home from school, drove them to forests, slits their throats and filmed it. Slobodan and his mates buried the fathers and their minor sons alive with JCBs. They buried Muslims in mass graves. They captured the wives and daughters, imprisoned them and raped them. Some 50,000 or so and that's probably the tip of the iceberg.

British soldiers were not anywhere near Serbia in 1976 and neither was anybody else. When the British army did go in it was part of a Nato coalition. Far from aggression, the British army and political will was to bring war criminals to account. The British did that despite the political will within Nato being weak. Other Nato contributing countries' armies were instructed to not interfere. This is well documented.

You are talking utter shit @Noavocado . Your post is lies and all over the place in terms of facts. There was no was in 1976. British soldiers killed nobody you know unless they were rapists and war criminals and only then to defend themselves or bring your family to account.

And yes I am on a bit of a rant and upset. You may or. May not have figured from my posts that I have Muslim heritage. So I know why these people hate the UK and USA. I do not want to make you suffer but many do. They hate the English. In my town England was a swear word between men. I do not think you realise the hatred that is going to bestoe this country.

In Serbia even a small town is called a 'City'. As do most Eastern Europeans, including Romanians (see your later post).

This is my gut feeling. You or your family are white British and not muslim. You are not from Serbia or Romania or anywhere in that vicinity. You are white British, educated and possibly (just possibly) feeling failed by something. Maybe it is your own privileged background you despise. Maybe it is just youthful rebellion.
