She hates my glasses

My wife hates my glasses. I need them more as I’m getting older and I actually think they are ok. I’ve asked others who also think they’re ok. But my wife tells me they’re awful every time I put them on. Everyday sometimes several times a day. It annoys me and sometimes it leads to an argument. She thinks it’s fine to constantly tell me and that I should go and get some different ones. She also says others are just saying they’re ok and they aren’t being honest? Is it me? Because it’s really annoying me

Your wife sounds pretty nasty. If a woman was on here saying her husband was making vile comments about something she was wearing I very much doubt anyone would be saying, let him help you choose a replacement that he approves of. Your glasses are absolutely fine and suit you, but even if they didn't - it's up to you what you wear.

I think the glasses look perfectly fine OP. There are some very strange people in this world. And your wife is one of them. She also sounds thoroughly unpleasant.

I recently got glasses and DH isn't keen on them (I can tell though he hasn't said). They cost me £650 though so I don't fucking care if he likes them, I do.

What utter bollocks. They are a perfectly normal pair of glasses. The type that many people wear. I disagree totally that they don't suit.

I wear a similar type myself. They are great and very comfortable. I wouldn't give a shit about the opinion of anyone who had an issue with them.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with those glasses. I was honestly expecting some massive, multi coloured Dame Edna type monstrosity. They're perfectly nice, normal glasses.

I can understand someone having a personal preference on the style of some things but go make nasty remarks is childish and mean.

Start wearing them on an elaborate (possibly beaded or bejewelled) chain around your neck. REALLY give her something to complain about... Seriously though, she sounds unkind , I hope you're OK
