Teabags

Hi

Can I pick your brain this morning and ask that you give me your best suggestion for teabags? I’ve been using Tetley like forever and feel it’s time to switch up as I’m just not getting that good cuppa kick from it.

I love my tea, drink around 3 cups a day minimum. The one that is suggested the most I shall purchase on my next shop!

Thanks

Clipper Fairtrade teabags. I love them!

Corrag · 09/11/2021 08:58

I've switched from my favourite brands to PG Tips as their bags are biodegradable . PG Tips is perfectly drinkable but I may well switch back once the other brands catch up. I believe Clipper are biodegradable as well.

Same, used to buy Yorkshire Tea but PGTips being in plastic free bags is a draw

In order

Punjana
Clipper
Yorkshire (not gold)
Typhoo
Tetley

Eileen101 · 09/11/2021 09:01

Loose leaf tea is the difference! I switched recently and haven't looked back 🫖☕ it's just all round better and stronger for that tea kick.

peridito · 09/11/2021 09:01

Yorkshire

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 09/11/2021 09:03

I like Earl Grey and so do most of our kids.
DH prefers PG tips
DS2 is partial to Yorkshire

ErrolTheDragon · 09/11/2021 09:04

Yorkshire, not gold. (And also their decaf)

ClementineWardobe · 09/11/2021 09:05

Yorkshire Tea. Gold is nice, but plain Yorkshire is what's in my kitchen (switched from Twinings English Breakfast, it had become a bit dull and tasteless).

DidgeDoolittle · 09/11/2021 09:05

PG Tips.

PG Tips and Yorkshire seem to be leading the way

Tetley

Came on to say punjana. Knocks spots of every other tea. Can't stand tetley or pg tips. Yorkshire is the only second place option I will have but punjana wins hands down. I order it online
User5632986 · 09/11/2021 09:09

PG Tips normal tea and Tick Tock Rooibos tea.

LemonMuffins · 09/11/2021 09:10

The M&S gold one. I bought some Yorkshire gold to try and replace but it's not punchy enough.

BonnesVacances · 09/11/2021 09:12

It is a question of taste so you'll need to experiment. I can't drink PG Tips and I can always identify it if I have it round someone's house. It tastes bitter to me. Not a big fan of Yorkshire Tea either tbh. I drink Twinnings Breakfast tea.

ChimChimeny · 09/11/2021 09:12

I like Lidl gold 😳

My mum will only drink Yorkshire tea at home so she splits open the bags to put the leaves in her compost bin 🤣

SoMuchToBits · 09/11/2021 09:13

I use PG Tips, but as @Eileen101 said, the main difference is to use loose leaf tea in a teapot, rather than a teabag in a mug.

MadisonAvenue · 09/11/2021 09:14

PG Tips.

Sp1ke3 · 09/11/2021 09:15

Ringtons! If you live in the North East they deliver to your door and you will become addicted to their ginger biscuits.

AnnPerkins · 09/11/2021 09:16

PG Tips.

It comes in a nice big box. (I drink a lot of tea.) You do have to be careful you don't poke a hole in it by accident but that's a small price to pay for plastic free.

Itsnotallaboutyoubaby · 09/11/2021 09:19

Yorkshire.

totorostoes · 09/11/2021 09:24

Yorkshire tea, we have regular, jam and toast and biscuit tea on offer in our household.

They’ve also changed to plant based plastic in their bags so they can go in food and garden waste bins.
