TRIGGER WARNING!!

Wtf have I just seen on Twitter?! I won't post a link, but you can Google it if you actually want to, although I should say it made me weep with rage!

Some absolutely vile excuse for a human being decided to kick and punch a horse for wandering off. It's shocking.

My blood is boiling! How dare they?! What will happen to them? Please someone tell me they will be at the very least, banned from ever owning an animal of any kind ever again.

What is the matter with people? Seriously need my faith restoring in humanity today.

Whilst I don't approve of what happened in the video, I can't believe some people are inciting violence, particularly as some innocent person has been named incorrectly.

I can't bring myself to watch it, it's unbelievable how some people treat animals.

I remember watching the olympics and one of the horses decided not to play the game during the modern pentathlon, they way the rider and coach treated the horse was awful. They knew they were on tv as it was the olympics, truly truly awful - poor horse Sad

Absolutely nothing will officially happen to this woman. No agencies have enough teeth to do anything at all. She will hopefully be called to task by the public though- now that she in infamous.

I'm furious about it- but TBH we are rather missing the point in focussing on her.

The main issue is the barbaric practise of fox hunting which is blatantly still happening undercover. Plus the fact that hunts routinely shoot all their dog hunting pack dead after only a few years service. Those poor dogs!

EmeraldShamrock · 08/11/2021 23:02

Absolutely disgusting.
I'm glad she has been identified.
Haven't rtft to check if the man was too.

they've recently taken horse riding out and replaced it because of this incident
noodlezoodle · 08/11/2021 23:27

Well if she's part of a hunt then by definition one of her hobbies is animal cruelty, so I can't say I'm surprised about this.

I am absolutely raging and fucking horrified though.

I saw that! It's disgusting!!

ODFOgrinch · 08/11/2021 23:56

@ginandbearit

Shes been named and is a primary school teacher, according to Hunting Leaks ..I wont name here here but it looks very likely and shes removed all details from sm as has pony club she involved in .
The person from the hunt who has links to the primary school is not the person in the video.
RutlandVasey · 09/11/2021 00:04

The lady in this video is absolutely not the Master of the Hounds.

The lady in the video will get her just desserts, not least because she has brought the hunt into disrepute and that is an unforgivable sin around here.

I disagree. Some of the hunt riders may be disappointed with her conduct, but others will only be disappointed that she got caught.

This type of thing is sadly rife.

TheNestedIf · 09/11/2021 00:31

Person whose hobby is being cruel to animals for fun, is being cruel to an animal. It's not really a shock, is it. People like this need to be removed from society. Even if you don't like animals, this sort is rarely any less callous to humans.

stillvicarinatutu · 09/11/2021 01:13

That footage is disgusting. I hate hunting and the people who do it are the reason.

The video clearly shows the plates on the horse box . It will be very easy to identify who that person is - and the hi t will be obliged to give whatever i formation they have - initially they denied she was part of that hunt be Chris packham scuppered that argument by showing other photos of that "person" riding with them .

I'm hoping the rspca will take action . Have to say when I have called on them professionally I've had a mixed response.

I think the public outrage will push them on this though.
It's sad - that little pony did nothing wrong - just trotted from the child who let go of the reins to another child - didn't try to leave - the footage is vile . Or rather shows a vile human being.

OldScrappyAndHungry · 09/11/2021 01:28

@RutlandVasey how can you bring a hunt into disrepute??? Their very existence brings them into disrepute in most people’s eyes. Their reputation for animal cruelty is already well established. Hmm

Daily mail are saying she’s a primary school teacher.

CovidCorvid · 09/11/2021 06:21

Also that she’s a Pony Club team leader. I hope the Pony Club at least have the guts to kick her out.

Bluntness100 · 09/11/2021 06:30

I saw this and was shocked by it too. Not just her assault on thr animal but the way she drags it into the trailer. Like she’s so angry she’s out of control and the horse will be abused again.

I hope they prosecute her and she’s never allowed to keep animals again . I just can’t imagine what has to be so wrong with you youd abuse an animal. And as others said, if she does it in public what the fuck is she doing to those animals in private.

There are just no words.

BoogalooGirl · 09/11/2021 06:32

It gets worse!!!

She's apparently a TEACHER

@CovidCorvid

Also *@TheFairyCaravan* incidents such as yours prove they’re not trail hunting like they often claim…..because why would they lay a fake scent trail across a road?
I love near this hunt and have seen them across some fairly main roads: dogs sniffing and pursuing, men in hunt gear, riding horses back and forth across the roads blocking traffic and not giving a f, someone at the back on a quad.

I KNOW they are not trail hunting. You wouldn't lay a trail like that unless you were the killer in a Miss Marple trying to do in a rich uncle in a hunting accident.

The woman in that video is a nasty piece of work. At the start of it she barges in to the situation, seemingly just because it gave her a chance to kick the horse about. Nothing but a bully but like others say: not entirely a shock to learn someone who enjoys hunting a fox also enjoys being cruel to to their animals.

Mintyt · 09/11/2021 06:40

I hope she loses her job

CSJobseeker · 09/11/2021 06:46

@ancientgran

On the news this morning they were appealing for people who witnessed this to come forward, I assume to identify her? I think the main punishment for her is going to be being judged and ostracised by people in her social circle and community.

Why did no one interveve, or did they and i didn't see it.

Given that she was filmed, she obviously did it in full view of her social community, none of whom said anything. So she's hardly going to be judged and ostracised unfortunately.

Surprise, surprise - people who do a sport that is based on brutally killing animals* don't have much regard for animal welfare.

(*The killing bit is obviously illegal now, but I know it does still happen at some hunts.)
