TRIGGER WARNING!!

Wtf have I just seen on Twitter?! I won't post a link, but you can Google it if you actually want to, although I should say it made me weep with rage!

Some absolutely vile excuse for a human being decided to kick and punch a horse for wandering off. It's shocking.

My blood is boiling! How dare they?! What will happen to them? Please someone tell me they will be at the very least, banned from ever owning an animal of any kind ever again.

What is the matter with people? Seriously need my faith restoring in humanity today.

Angry Angry

This woman’s behaviour looks wrong. It should be investigated by the police. If she is guilty (we have only seen a short clip so do not know what the run up was) she should be punished in accordance with the law.

We have only seen a short clip - in which she kicks the horse hard in its chest, punches it in the face, and slaps its muzzle hard multiple times.

What could a horse possibly ever do in the 'run up' to being lashed out at with rage to in order to 'deserve' this treatment?! In the footage I saw, the horse did a brief circling trot in the opposite direction - a few feet only - than she wanted it to go.

Death threats are not on, but people are incensed at her behaviour - only they don't get to kick her in the chest, punch her in the face, or slap her hard multiple times in the nose to express their anger, of course.

@Derbee

The agenda really is irrelevant. Anyone could film me with any animal, and wouldn’t get ANY footage of me kicking or punching it. No matter how long they filmed for
Yes. This!

I have 2 horses, I have never, ever kicked or punched either of them. It doesn’t matter why someone might be filming me, they won’t get any footage of me kicking or hitting my horses because I have never kicked or hit them.

It doesn’t matter about context, or what might have happened in the preceding few minutes, lashing out like that is never ok.

They’re half ton animals, they need to do what I tell them to do, when I tell them to do it, for my safety as well as theirs. They need to trust me, not just do what I say because they’re scared of me - they’re flight animals, there will always be something scarier than me.

Maybe the horse,or another one she rides,will throw her off over a fence or stream whatever, and she will damage her body in some way,. The horse can have a laugh then.

@Spiceup

Whilst in isolation the attack in the horse is abhorrent, I don't think it would ordinarily have seen her suspended from her teaching job. It's the sort of thing that can be used against people when there are already problems with them. E.g where I work drink driving can be gross misconduct and a sackable offence, but in practice it's only used for people who have other issues (as drinkers often do).

I suspect similar here. It's unlikely someone who can be so aggressive towards a horse is a valued member of school staff.

That is dodgy. If they go to a tribunal and show that other people aren't dismissed I think it would be hard to prove that this was fair.
