If you were to choose a wedding dress now…

What would you go for? Something classic? Something a bit more alternative? White? Ivory? Black?!
I’m not getting married, just thinking for some reason about wedding dresses Grin
Wondering about what I’d choose if I had to.
If you got married would you still pick the same dress?

If I was choosing again, I'd go for something a bit alternative. I can't do pretty or elegant, but when I got married I was still trying.

Wow @TommyShelby - that’s showstopping! What kind of blue will it be? Beautiful dress!

I have 25m of shot silk in navy/green. I would design my own outfit and get it made up, with a mock up beforehand.

@TheChosenTwo it’ll be option C on here.

I’m not bridal and white makes me look like a tomato! My grandmother had a blue dress (in 1955, way ahead of her time) so I decided when I was about 8 I’d have one too!

I'd chose this again! Felt like royalty in it. It was a Christmas wedding - I don't suit white.

I love it @TommyShelby - it’s a beautiful choice.
And @PennineWayinSlingbacks that’s also lovely 😊 Gorgeous tiara and bouquet too!!

I'd wear the same one. Loved my dress!

WhereDoesThisToiletGo · 09/11/2021 07:45

I was the height of 80s fashion in a big Princess Di meringue, so No, I wouldn't wear the same again. Especially since I'm now in my Sixties!
But I would wear what was my original choice from 30 something years ago, which was a pale grey silk beaded dress, very 1920s style.

And I would definitely choose the same Groom!

HemlockStarglimmer · 09/11/2021 07:51

I made the dress I got married in 19 years ago and I love it. I'd do the same again.
Old gold silk, strapless, a matching jacket with floaty sleeves.

But as I'm sixty now I'd make it knee length I think, and keep the jacket on.

@PennineWayinSlingbacks is that The Priests House, near Bolton Abbey?

No, it's my village church in Dorset!

Ha, a fair way away then!

SmellyOldOwls · 09/11/2021 10:00
