Erm, didn’t feel very Christmassy - that warm cosy feeling it should give you.

I actually really liked it and yes did shed a tear at the end. I cry at all of them though. Even the McDonald's one had me in floods last year!

Not their best kind of gave me stranger things vibes but I’m not feeling all Christmassy.

I quite like it actually though I was expecting not to. Simple but effective.

It’s a mix-up of ET and another children’s film whose name I’ve forgotten.
I still quite liked it though.

I thought the advert was very disappointing.

I love that song but hate that cover of it though I begrudgingly admit it fits the ad content. I agree it's a bit too similar to ET but quite sweet all the same. The characters are lovely. It didn't feel quite Christmassy enough but it's certainly watchable.

It didn't feel overly festive, not sure of the message either really. Surely it would be better if the child brought the alien home rather than secretly meeting a stranger in the woods without any adult noticing

DD and I were so looking forward to this…. And we are now feeling decidedly underwhelmed.

Well I called the jumper as being the obvious merchandise but how stupid to have a flashing jumper in the advert and then decide that's not environmentally friendly enough to sell.

I'm also dubious about their sudden interest in being environmentally friendly given they produce mountains of crap every year to sell in line with their advert, it's their modus operandi.

First time ever I've really particularly disliked the John Lewis offering. They're usually charming, cute and festive. Even last year with passing on the love was a nice nod to everyone helping each other in the pandemic. This is just odd!

Not enough Christmas/emotional connection and feels like Batteries Not Included as well as ET.

Hummmm not sure about it, dont immediately hate it but dont love it either. Maybe the expectation is just too much now!

Haha wow, an overpriced bland, generic Christmas jumper that isn't even the same as the one in the advert.

Not sure who is in charge of their ads at the moment, but they're crap.
