Curry’s glitch if you want a cheap laptop

Just ordered a Dell laptop for £99! Now got to wait and see if my order actually comes next week. Anyone in the market for one should consider getting on the site and giving it a go. Dying to know if it will turn up!

They wont honour it.

Legally, they do not need to honour a sale when the price is an error. And Currys dont honour these errors so all your orders will be cancelled.

Absolutely. Sometimes an error is honoured when it's ordered by one person. When one person posts that error on a huge bargain platform, causing hundreds of not thousands of people to order, there is absolutely no chance at all they will stand by it.

Also, as suggested on the hot deals thread Currys are not the best with refunds, so prepare for a wait to get your £99 back.

I don't think it's an error as it's reduced and for 'light use'

My MacBook Air is playing up so I'm happy to have a back up or give it to DD for Christmas.

Honestly, don't order it. Unless you like being without your money for a few days. All you're doing is wasting your time and that's a fact. I work in this arena and Curry's will not honour your orders and nor should they

Sorry to burst your bubble but it's actually just a crap laptop with insufficient processing power and memory to function at anything more than a snails pace.

I forgot to add the extra free months of Microsoft 365 to my basket🤦‍♀️ heads up to anyone else placing an order that the offer's available though!
I've also had a confirmation email and have paid by debit card; fingers crossed for us all!

DD wants one for Christmas so I’ll chance it. I think Dell are pretty good and while it won’t set the world alight it will be perfectly good enough for her and far better than the ancient (9 year old) one she has been patiently using.

Paid by credit card so if they are slow to refund it won’t matter.

Its price on the .ie website is 419 euro.
