When I’m feeling lazy and just want to eat I have been known to leave out the onion - which I know adds to the flavour but it’s a bit of a faff, plus leaving it out makes it simpler to scale down to just one portion without ending up with 3/4 of an onion left. I never bother with the lemon.

Same! I put the grayed cheese in the sauce pan so it melts and goes all gooey

Bangers and mash (frozen mash).

Cheese and crackers, perhaps with a bit of pork pie.

Mash and gravy
Beans on toast with a sprinkle of cheddar
Bacon roll

Bread and cheese
A peanut butter and cheddar sandwich
Or a sandwich with one of these veggie pâtés you find in tubes in Holland and Barrett

Egg fried potato
Chips and beans with a slice of bread
Fried egg on toast
Sausages, microwave steam veg and gravy
Sausages and tinned tomatoes.

Cheese toastie or pitta breads with cheese and a bowl of soup.

Haven't RTFT but slightly disappointed that (at least in the first 4 pages) there hasn't been anyone from the carb police or cheese-watch around to haughtily tell us all off and insist a huge salad is a suitable alternative!! 🤣

Thin sirloin steak cooked medium rare with cheese melted on top in a ciabatta roll (with ketchup of course!)

I always roast vegetables (whatever is cheap and available) and keep them in a container to eat as an accompaniment to fish/ meat, to mix in couscous; add cheese and have it as a filling for a quesadilla, tostadas or enchiladas, top a baked potato, add it to pasta and a simple tomato sauce, etc...

I like: jacket pot, cheese and beans.
Sardines in tomato sauce, few shakes of Tabasco and a slice of cheese grilled on toast.
Fried egg, bacon, beans and toast.
Sausages and beans - either Heinz tinned with toast or crap sausages like Richmond.
Bit more effort- tuna and tinned sweetcorn with cream of mushroom soup plus pasta, cheese on top, then baked.

toast and jam. pot of tea.

rinse and repeat.

every. single. time.

Sliced mushrooms and cherry tomatoes fried in butter with a splash of balsamic on thick buttered toast.

Jacket potato (cooked in oven not microwave) with butter cheese lots of pepper and plain yogurt or beans and cheese

I love absolutely cheese on toast sometimes with tomatoes (lovely with beans on the side) too but my electric grill makes rubbish cheese on toast I envy people with good cheese on toast making grills

Peanut butter on hot toast with a good dusting of cinnamon and a sprinkle of sugar
