Tesco app not working!

Anyone else trying to do a Tesco shop and the app isn't working!

Online not working either. I've got a slot book for the morning which only has milk and wine in it 😩

They put a message out this morning saying the app and website are not currently working

No you can't do it online the website is down too.
I tried to do my shopping with them this morning OP but had to switch to Asda instead.
It ended up well because I ordered at 11.30am and its coming at 5pm today so much quicker than Tesco in my area.

Oh wow! That is such much quicker! I always wake up in the middle of the night past the Tesco deadline with something else I need! 😂

I've been trying since 6am so it must be a major issue 😬

Can’t revise my order either. I read that some people have added a couple of things to their basket to reserve the slot and now can’t change it.
I just read a report online that said it had been down for 8 hours now

@Dodie66 yup that's me. I usually do it on a Saturday night. So wine and biscuits may be all we receive tomorrow if it's still down Confused

You can call to cancel your order which might be an option if you cant amend it.

Oh I have just started a thread about this , I did not know there was already one here .

I want a delivery for tomorrow , I would normal put a few things in my basket early in the week to hold the spot but I didnt this week , I am so glad, I dont fancy paying the £4 delivery charge on a few spuds !

Been trying to get in to amend my order since first thing today. My order is due tomorrow morning and I need to downsize it, due to a temporary funds hiccough.

I have another 8 hours until I have to check out and am just hoping they will sort it by then.

I just googled and all the down detectors are rammed with people reporting it - seems to be a national problem. One newspaper has mentioned it after picking up complaints online, but nothing official at all from Tesco and no update as to how long they think the problem will persist. Technical issues will happen with online businesses, but the very least they could do is keep customers updated.

I don't use Facebook and never will and I doubt I am alone.

@Dodie66 thank you. Not everyone is on FB though and that post was put up six hours ago, with nothing official since.

At least they are responding to questions on there, but I feel for the Customer Service Staff who it appears are not being kept informed themselves, whilst dealing with an influx of complaints and queries they can’t answer. Also the poor techs who will be working relentlessly to get it fixed.

Latest responses say they still have no ETA, but if you contact them via FB with your full name, address including postcode and the email address for your Tesco account Customer Services can cancel the order for you.

I have decided to shift some funds around and just see what happens. I can’t do a physical shop for health reasons, so online is my only option.

Thanks for the FB link @Dodie66 , it looks like a lot of people are in the same boat as us .
I can help but think that when Tesco have got the issues sorted the site will crash again with 1000s of people trying to amend their orders

Ive just had an email from tesco saying they've cancelled my online order slot for tomorrow morning. ☹️

I just tried - I have a shop arriving tomorrow, but it was just a holding basket, so a bit random.

Mines was a holding basket too. Shop is going to be busy tomorrow if lots of orders cancelled ☹️

From tesco -

As you’ve placed an online order with us for tomorrow, you may be aware that there’s a technical problem with our website and app at the moment.

The fault means you may have tried to amend your order, but you haven’t been able to. We’re doing everything we can to fix this as quickly as we can.

As you only had 3 items or fewer in your basket, we think it may have been just to book a slot, and that you’d planned to fill your basket later. So unfortunately, because of this fault, we’ve had to cancel your order. You won’t be charged for it.

We wanted to let you know as soon as possible so that you have time to get your groceries another way.

We’re very sorry about the inconvenience. Rest assured that we’re trying to get everything back to normal as quickly as we can.

We have just had that same message. We do the shop online after children are in bed and so they’ve cancelled it as no way of adding to the basket. We do it last minute to try and prevent too many subs or unavailables.

You can refuse to accept your delivery if you can’t cancel it… I’ve just swopped to a Sunday afternoon from Monday morning and this happens 😂😂

I work on home delivery for Morrisons but I’m not as used to our system so I still order from Tesco. Husband works there so we get discount from both 😊

I’m expecting we will be busy in the morning if people are trying elsewhere…

It sounds something quite major to be down this long. I’ve got a delivery for Monday and seen from original email order that I’ve got a reasonable amount in the basket, so hoping I still get it.
