Morning all! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cup of tea, in silence. It's proper silence too, other than the odd bird, very few car sounds from the main road! Bliss 😊

Dd2's alarm has just gone off & dd1's is set for 8:30. We're off to look round a potential A-Level college for dd1 this morning. Then heading to town for a few things. I might pick up few fillers for their reusable Advent calendars too.

I want to nip to one of the yarn shops in town, if I remember, to pick up yarn for some funky socks for dd1. & go in the works to look at their Christmas craft stuff.

Not sure what's for tea yet. Dd2 quite often requests curry on a Saturday evening. Whatever it is, will probably be accompanied by a glass of wine for me.

I'll probably finish dd1's crochet ghost once we're all showered and settled for the evening.

What about you lovely lot? Anyone up to anything much? :)

I’m currently in the buildings washroom watching my laundry go round and round…could absolutely leave it and come back in an hour but that would mean I have to do chores at home

Will head over to a coffee shop to use their WiFi later and get some work done then maybe make Thai food for dinner

Day ahead of gathering lambs to sort for market - there will be tantrums and shouting so I'm sitting quietly with a coffee in the garden before I go and kick the troops out of bed!

Taking Dd to a toddler group this morning, then will probably go for a walk at the beach or hot chocolate in the park. Home for lunch, DD’s nap, then whichever park/beach we didn’t do this morning. DH has a DIY project to finish.

I was going to say the same thing. I thought your girls were in primary been on here years (name change a lot)

We have football then dh will take kids to see granny. I have no major plans today but I have one hour paperwork to do for work. Might do it when the house is quiet. We have a big event tomorrow 🎃🎃 and I will do the big shop on the way home from that.

So tonight wine and netflix - I can't get into strictly this year.

Breakfast in bed with dh, for once the teens don't need taking anywhere so then I am going to do a core workout and a spinning workout and after lunch we're going sailing if the wind picks up enough.

Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning.
Then I’m going to go and give the gardens a good tidy up, cut back and the cover up garden furniture for winter.

An afternoon siesta in readiness for my night shift tonight.
It’s dh’s birthday tomorrow so I think the il’s are coming round at tea time for cake and kfc or some such.
That’s a typical Saturday for me!

Currently lounging around on mumsnet waiting for bacon to cook. 3yo DD is surprisingly engrossed by a 90s documentary about the Wisconsin air show (she asked for “aeroplanes on the tv” and this was the best I could find! Taking recommendations for kids shows about aeroplanes- is Come Outside still a thing?)

Then we’re going to walk/scooter to the park. We’ve got carrot and butternut soup for lunch but not sure what to do this afternoon. I might get the playdo out

Walking the dog through the woods to a kiosk that sells hot dogs & hot choc (my dds favourite thing to do!). Have to pick something up from chemist, and then might sort the craft cupboard as my husband is itching to throw it all out!

Saturday, so cleaning for me and the weekly shop for DH (he's done already).
DD is waiting for course confirmations as her 5th semester starts on Monday (potentially f2f).
DS - there are still wonders - has decided to work on his 5PK (counting towards Abitur) during autumn vacations and is up already!!! (quiet dance of joy)

A flock of geese in flight formation flew over the hose right now.

Come outside is all available on YouTube - my 9 year old still enjoys it! In fact she’s only ever seen it on YouTube.

I’m prepping for a job interview on Monday - I need to go over my presentation and do lots of research. Eek!

Day two of a hypnosis training course by Zoom! Really, really interesting.

We're just heading off to the coast with the baby and the dog. It's absolutely freezing up here but the beach will be deserted and it means the pooch will be sleeping for the rest of the day so we can go for lunch somewhere.

Looking forward to a relaxing weekend after a super busy week.

I’m still in bed, DS is at his dads and DP is downstairs making us coffees. Going to get up soon, got to go into town to pick up a few balloons to drop at my mums. Then we are off to visit dp’s family for a few hours then home to get ready for my dads surprise birthday party tonight. So busy day today with lots of running around. I’ve had a long week at work and would kill to be able to spend the day doing nothing in my pj’s!

Hair cut first thing for DC.
Then I have to go practice driving my rental car which I'm dreading as it's a lot heavier than my car as my garage lost my lock and key bolt for my car tyres and guess who has several punctures and there's been no set time frame for when they'll sort me a new key bolt even though it's been missing for a week already!
Probably just chill this afternoon and bake a cake.
Been doing a ground force make over in my garden all week so need to relax as I'm knackered.

Off to do the food shop in a minute, then take Dd to tennis. Meet the builder at Howdens to chose kitchen cupboard doors. DD will make her own way home then we'll meet up and go for a walk along the Broads with a picnic if the weather holds out. If the weather turns I'm steaming the wallpaper off in the kitchen walls, taking the tiles off with a hammer and chisel thing and varnishing the new bathroom door frame.

I am very sore from a fall I took yesterday so the main priority is going to be staying on top of the ibuprofen and hot cups of tea.

I need to go into work at about 4/5pm so hopefully I’m less sore and (visibly) bruised by then, as we’re live on TV tonight so need to look presentable.

I have guests over and they’re still asleep so I’m enjoying a very quiet house until they all get up and we start planning the day.

We’ll probably take a long walk and have some local takeaway food they can’t get in the UK, might pop into a little museum or two on our way back.

The council gave notice of construction works during the weekend at the train station, but strangely enough it’s all extremely peaceful and quiet still. Loving it so far.

I’ll be done with work around midnight so then we’ll need to find something for dinner that’s still open at that time. Long day ahead!

We’re going to a pumpkin patch in a bit, then we’re booked in at the wonderlab at the science museum.

Just my average Saturday.

Heading out for a long walk shortly (I'm doing the Walktober challenge) and I might stop off for coffee at the coffee shop.

When I get back, I'll head to the supermarket to stock up for the weekend. A bit of housework and dinner and then I'll curl up by the fire and watch Strictly. I love that feeling when everything is done and I can lounge on the sofa with the cats.

There's something nice about these threads - a little glimpse into everyone's day.

Just relaxing here today its quite sunny and blowy. I need to do some Christmas shopping (I know!!! .. but I've got a busy couple of months coming up mentally and want to free the headspace)

@Invasionofthegutsnatchers I missed your post. Fingers crossed it's not the dreaded Covid.

A quiet day here. We've got some shelves to shorten and put up in the nursery. This will probably go wrong and take far longer than anticipated.

After that, a few bits and bobs to be ordered online, some cleaning, and I need to cook a big pot of bolognese to freeze for when baby gets here. I've got 5 big meals to batch cook and freeze over the coming week so we don't have to think about dinner once she turns up, and I'm stringing them out over the next few days. I previously had a grand idea of spending a whole day in the kitchen cooking them all, but I'm too tired and achy to manage that now!

Maybe a short walk around the fields this afternoon if I fancy it. More likely I'll flop on the sofa and read for an hour instead.

I have finished the dcs presents. Going to buy one small item from halloween on eg wine for neighbours or biscuits. It all feels like too much if left too late.

Busy! Stewarding at 4th round FA cup qualifier at my local non league club then hosting a big party for a big birthday tonight. Exciting day, very unusual for me!
