Morning all! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cup of tea, in silence. It's proper silence too, other than the odd bird, very few car sounds from the main road! Bliss 😊

Dd2's alarm has just gone off & dd1's is set for 8:30. We're off to look round a potential A-Level college for dd1 this morning. Then heading to town for a few things. I might pick up few fillers for their reusable Advent calendars too.

I want to nip to one of the yarn shops in town, if I remember, to pick up yarn for some funky socks for dd1. & go in the works to look at their Christmas craft stuff.

Not sure what's for tea yet. Dd2 quite often requests curry on a Saturday evening. Whatever it is, will probably be accompanied by a glass of wine for me.

I'll probably finish dd1's crochet ghost once we're all showered and settled for the evening.

What about you lovely lot? Anyone up to anything much? :)

@Snowdropsandbluebells I don't have a slow cooker, but have been debating it. I can't work out if it'll be useful or not!

Totally @Weedsorwishes. Im always up a mountain but today we were gang of girls celebrating a birthday. Much better than a pub!

We went out for a walk up the hills by us with nearly 3 week old DC3. It’s the furthest I’ve been out since she was born and it was brilliant

Another fan of the great outdoors here, slightly limited by young children, a stroll around national trust places is about our limit 😂 but definitely good for body and mind! I dream of the days my husband and I can get back to long hikes alone!

I normally take DD to her swimming lesson on Sat mornings but she’s been ill this week with the non covid virus that’s going around so we stayed home instead and baked cupcakes.
I went for a swim this afternoon, (normally go during the week when DD is in school).
Got Sainsbury’s coming soon, so an evening of putting the groceries away. I’m recording tonight’s Strictly, hopefully sit down to watch it at about 9 in my PJs with a bailey’s hot chocolate.

We're staying with my folks for the weekend. Got up and spent some time with my Dad and my DC. Went to local town with DH for lunch and shopping for DC winter clothes and presents for my Dad. Came home and had a little party for Dad's birthday.
Been hanging out in the house since then entertaining DC, going to head out for drinks tonight with Dsis and her DP, to take advantage of the babysitting!

phlox they are very useful. Mine has a keep warm function so if you cook a curry or whatever and baby is crying or visitors arrive or whatever- it's just handy.

Good for stew soup gammon curry
Mine wasn't expensive at all I use it twice a week. Also at Christmas for mulled wine
