How often do you intend to have a nice and healthy meal then think aaaah f*** it I'll have a takeaway 😁

Too often Grin

PinkPrawns2 · 14/10/2021 19:54

More often than I ever want to admit!!

Pretty much on first name terms with our fave takeaway driver Blush

TwinklyBranch · 14/10/2021 19:55

Never, my fuck-it-can't-be-bothered dinner is toast or cereal. Ordering a takeaway would be way too much effort! Grin

PurpleDaisies · 14/10/2021 19:56

Less often since living somewhere outside the range of most take away!
I’m more likely to ditch a home cooked healthy meal for a freezer pizza.

ABitOfAShitShow · 14/10/2021 19:59

Nearly every day.

Drumshambo · 14/10/2021 20:00

Just done it now! Absolutely shit day at work. Intended to have a nice healthy prawn stir fry. I've just ordered chicken dopiaza, garlic naan mushroom rice. Saag aloo and popodoms.
I"he also cracked open the wine. No work tomorrow. My weekend starts now. Have the house to myself as well. The remote is all mine.! 😀

DustyMaiden · 14/10/2021 20:00

I ordered a takeaway yesterday. It’s the first time I’ve ever done that. I am 59.

Mum2021askingquestion · 14/10/2021 20:03

I read this as 'how often do you eat a healthy meal then decide to have a takeaway afterwards aswell?' which I must admit i thought was pretty greedy, so was surprised to see so many doing it.

However I then reread and it makes more sense.

We normally plan takeaways in advance then look forward to them. Very little spontaneity here. Half the fun is the lead up

DuesToTheDirt · 14/10/2021 20:04

Never. A takeaway is a treat for us, and only happens on a Friday or Saturday and/or when there's something to celebrate. Too expensive to have just because we don't want to cook.

DuesToTheDirt · 14/10/2021 20:04

@DustyMaiden, what did you have? Was it worth the 59 years of waiting?!

gluenotsoup · 14/10/2021 20:06

Oh. Yes.

A hell of a lot, but I have ADHD so even the slightest thing not going to plan means I can't cope, and takeaway becomes the least painful option.

Just happened

I have ADHD too and yes same thing. Really must stop though takeaway isn’t cheap but I can’t help myself
Workinghardeveryday · 14/10/2021 20:24

@DustyMaiden what did you order and was it worth it?!

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 14/10/2021 20:27

Every 3 months. It’s my low carb reward.

Signoramarella · 14/10/2021 20:36

Never. Healthy always wins.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 14/10/2021 20:37

Last time was Tuesday. It is a frequent occurrence in this house.

HollyandIvyandAllThingsYule · 14/10/2021 20:39

Not often at all! We had a pizza each last week and that was the first time in at least six months. However it’d be a bit more often (like maybe every couple of months or so) if there were any good takeaways here which there really aren’t.

Mol1628 · 14/10/2021 20:45

Oh gosh. About three times a week in lockdown. I couldn’t handle being home with the kids on my own 24/7.
It was a hard habit to break but down to a takeaway every 3 months or so now and feel a lot better for it.

I have ADHD too and impulse control is not my strong suit. Add in the fact that I use fatty and sugary foods as a stim and I'm a lost cause!

I despise cooking - by the time I've made the meal, I no longer want it. I would eat a sandwich for dinner every night if that was nutritionally feasible.

Drumshambo · 14/10/2021 20:51

I'm surrounded by amazing takeaways. We have Turkish. lebanese, Indian. Thai, and great independent pizza places. We usually have a take away every two weeks.
