We have a takeaway roughly every 3 weeks (some months it’ll be fortnightly, some months it’ll be monthly) but never when we’ve planned something healthy? It’s always well planned in advance - like a PP says, it’s nice to have it to look forward to. We had a takeaway on Wednesday as we came back from holiday so it was a ‘last horrah’ and at the end of the month on my payday DH is away for a night so I’ll have one as a treat then.
That said we have a 1 year old and not much in the way of babysitting options, so takeaways now just take up the space that pre baby and pre pandemic was going out for dinner! Means I don’t feel too guilty about the calories or the expense
