That’s not a whole house- it’s been divided up! You must be able to get a detached house and a huge garden for that dosh in Suffolk!

notacooldad · 13/10/2021 23:57

£1.65m would buy most of my town!

Chasingsquirrels · 13/10/2021 23:58

Not the whole house no, but the space in the house for sale is enormous, plus the communal grounds.
In comparison search for £1.5-£1.75m within 10 miles is throwing up 4 &,5 bed terraces in Cambridge.

It came up on my listed within last 24 hrs within x miles search. So far outside what is normally on there.

An entire island and castle!

SpindleWharl · 14/10/2021 00:01

Share of freehold? No thank you.

When I win the lottery I'm not going to spend the rest of my years locked in legal battle with some bloody golfing freemason next door who doesn't like my peacocks and peahens noisily shagging on the lawn, next to my flock of spirited pygmy goats.

Live in South East…decent 4 bedroom house hopefully close to good secondary school,

Gingernaut · 14/10/2021 00:06

Nothing between £1.4m and £1.7m

Djifunrsn · 14/10/2021 00:07

A gated mansion with a swimming pool (large and indoor). Enough grounds to get totally lost in. Some stables as well.

IAmBeatrixKiddo · 14/10/2021 00:08

That amount would buy only a 3-bed flat with patio garden or a small house with tiny garden where we're currently house hunting (Parsons Green). Mad when you think about it.

SD1978 · 14/10/2021 00:12

For that amount a semi detached with a shared garden seems a bit steep......

Mumblechum0 · 14/10/2021 00:12

Average 1950s 4 bed detached. Hambleden valley villages.

a woodland, paddock and vineyard. Oh and change to spare as its only £1.25m

PickAChew · 14/10/2021 00:20

Or 7 0f my house.

AllyBama · 14/10/2021 01:29

Hmm in my suburb of perth, Western Australia … $3ish million would get you a very very lovely 4-5 bed renovated character home in about 1000 square meters, less than 10 minutes from the city center.

Doesn't even have a proper garden or off road parking.
