Had 3pcrs in 10days, all neg.
Double jabbed since April.
Flu jab 2weeks ago.

Last night I woke shivering quite violently with a temp. After ibruprofen it stopped and I just had a temp. Managed to get to work and I've ached horrendously all day.

Back home now and I feel rough AF.

Anyone else had this grim lurgy? Xx

I think I do now, after DC had it a few days ago 😨

PinkFootstool · 06/10/2021 18:18

Yes. DH had it first, quite mild. It nearly wiped me out. Copious volumes of Lemsip was the only thing keeping me functioning for days.

Still snotty 3 weeks later.

And yes, negative PCRs for us both.

Ellis989 · 06/10/2021 18:24

Yep! The cold from hell! I also have an awful chesty cough and have lost my voice. Feel like I need to tell everyone I meet about my negative PCR...

It really frightened me waking like that at 3am. Then Dr Google came out and I have sepsis, hypothermia etc.
Horrid aches are all over, just taken some zapain to ease the pains xx

yes. horrible. coughing, temperature, negative lateral flows and PCR.

Justme10 · 06/10/2021 18:31

Yep seems to just keep circling around us all for the last few weeks, with added sickness this week Sad

burritofan · 06/10/2021 18:32

Just had a negative PCR and I was CONVINCED it was covid. Stupid other rotten illnesses!!

WeepySheepy · 06/10/2021 18:33

Yes its hell

BigButtons · 06/10/2021 18:35

yep- for over a month now. Don't feel as dreadful as I did in the first two weeks but I am still coughing all the time and have a runny nose.

MarmaladeToastAndAMarmaladeCat · 06/10/2021 18:36

Yes, it is grim. Kids had it not too badly but it has floored me. I have it on top of severe morning sickness which really hasn’t helped matters.

RobinPenguins · 06/10/2021 18:37

Yes, it’s like every cold/sore throat I haven’t had over the last 18 months have all combined to make me feel like I’ve been hit by a train. DH had it last week and I was smug thinking I’d avoided it.

WeepySheepy · 06/10/2021 18:38

Over a month?! I'm not even a week in yet :(
x2boys · 06/10/2021 18:39

Yep i started a thread about this on the covid board, a couple of weeks, both myself and my son have had a horrible cough and cold, both tested negative on LFT, s and PCR, s.

SuddenArborealStop · 06/10/2021 18:39

Yep loads of lateral flow negatives but waiting for PCR , not expecting positive as sister is the same and she was negative.
Its a bad dose I'm worried it's moving onto my chest. Kids only got a runny nose though.

inigomontoyahwillcox · 06/10/2021 18:40

Yep - got it last Tuesday, put me in bed with a raging temp for 2 days (also multiple -tive tests), still getting over it, could currently sleep all day!

whymewhyme · 06/10/2021 18:40

Yes, it's been rough!

Bookridden · 06/10/2021 18:41

Yes! 2 negative pcr tests, but feverish, coughs and aches and pains. Fatigue +++. Strangely, we haven't had the runny nose you get with a cold. So much like Covid, lateral flow tests were positive, but pcrs said no. Weird virus.

Mistymoors · 06/10/2021 18:41

Yes all the family had it, I was fed up of booking pcr tests . It went on and on and still feel tired after a few weeks !

inigomontoyahwillcox · 06/10/2021 18:43

I'm so glad (well, not glad, but reassured) that so many others have had it and been hit similarly bad as I have, was beginning to think I was a wimp or had a shitty immune system.

Starlight39 · 06/10/2021 18:43

Yes, we have it here too (8 month old DD coming out of the other side) but DP and I in the thick of it! Now waiting for DS to get it...

ProfessorLayton1 · 06/10/2021 18:44

We have had it for the last three weeks. Myself and my husband had covid last year and are double vaccinated. Awful temperature, sweating , cough. We both are negative ( multiple times, done due to the nature of work we do) but my unvaccinated Dd was covid positive with same symptoms. Still have headaches , fatigue and not completely recovered but getting there very slowly. Never have had anything like this in my life - very scary.

WeepySheepy · 06/10/2021 18:44

Borisjohnsonshairbrush · 06/10/2021 18:46

@RobinPenguins I was feeling smug too when DP was I'll with it 2weeks ago.

Currently can't move off the couch since I got in from work xx

I’m 5 weeks in now and I am so fed up. Everything aches.

NanaPorsche · 06/10/2021 18:47

Yes - sore throat and cough to begin with. Now feel bunged up and have lost voice - feel breathless with the effort of trying to talk.

Not lost sense of smell/taste .... yet.
