I'm doing a beef stew, lots of carrots, turnip, parsnips, onion and will bulk it out with potatoes. It's my sons birthday so I don't want to be stood cooking all day, chucked it all in the slow cooker this morning and it'll be lovely this evening.

Veggie Sausages, rosti potatoes, peas and gravy, we are not vegetarians but they are so much nicer than meat ones

A big bowl of chilli to be served with rice, chips and cheese.

Thesearmsofmine · 03/10/2021 12:16

Sausage casserole with sweet potato mash, honey roasted parsnips and carrots. May add some dumplings for DH.

HollyandIvyandAllThingsYule · 03/10/2021 12:17

A roast (sorry!) but not traditional this time - We’re doing a curry spiced roast chicken, a dal tadka and a fresh tomato, cucumber and red onion salad.

MarshmallowSwede · 03/10/2021 12:17

Roasted chicken, roasted garlic potatoes and salad.

AuntieMarys · 03/10/2021 12:17

Veggie chilli soup with olive bread.

Etinox · 03/10/2021 12:18

A roast! Super excited as normally only have vegans to feed. Everything’s prepped, and as it’s lamb when everyone’s finished faffing I only need an hours notice. Also apple crumble with garden apples and big treat for me cream.

wetpebbles · 03/10/2021 12:18

Cauliflower cheese

StevieNix · 03/10/2021 12:19

Nothing exciting as my ds (age 4) is going through a particularly fussy stage with food.
We’re having tomato and bacon pasta bake with garlic bread and green salad (we had roast chicken yesterday so I didn’t want another roast)

MrsDThomas · 03/10/2021 12:21

Sorry, (not really) roast pork here, and bread and butter pudding. And red wine.

Drywhitefruitycidergin · 03/10/2021 12:22

Sausages with Yorkshire puddings, veggies and a ton of gravy.

gluenotsoup · 03/10/2021 12:25

Chicken and chorizo pasta with an Arabiata style sauce, garlic bread. Lamb roast next week.

WhatHaveIFound · 03/10/2021 12:25

Chicken, leek & mushroom pie (mash topping) with veg for us.

theskyispurple · 03/10/2021 12:27

I've got a piece of pork fillet but I don't know what to do with it. Considered putting Greek souvlaki herbs on it and serving with baked feta and a salad, but it feels a bit wintery for that....

MyMabel · 03/10/2021 12:27

Also a roast, it’s Sunday you’d be mad not to Grin

Slow cooked pork joint with honey glazed parsnips, my family famous roast potatoes, real gravy with a little mint sauce mixed in, stuffing with added chestnuts, cabbage, broccoli and carrots.

PermanentTemporary · 03/10/2021 12:27

Roast chicken for lunch sorry.

Will make broccoli and blue cheese soup later - broccoli onion and stock, just a bit of blue cheese towards the end.

Youcancallmeval · 03/10/2021 12:28

I need to use up bns, courgettes and an aubergine so potentially a Buddha bowl, though I've had 2 this week already. I fancied ramen but I don't think the bns will work.

HollyandIvyandAllThingsYule · 03/10/2021 12:29

@HollyandIvyandAllThingsYule

A roast (sorry!) but not traditional this time - We’re doing a curry spiced roast chicken, a dal tadka and a fresh tomato, cucumber and red onion salad.
Served with rice of course and we might share a naan between us as well.😋😋
HollyandIvyandAllThingsYule · 03/10/2021 12:33

We had a lovely new dish the other day - so easy but really delicious!

Smoked Mackerel Gratin

We used broccoli instead of cauliflower because we had some that needed using, but also for added colour/flavour. I put extra cheese in as well. 😁😋

IWillWoooTheGhoulWillow · 03/10/2021 12:33

Roast lamb with roast potatoes and carrots, broccoli, peas, broad beans and DD's special gravy here.

But I'm also batch cooking to freeze, so,
🍳 Spaghetti Bolognese
🍳 Chilli (can have rice, tortillas, Doritos)
🍳 Chicken in white sauce (can make chicken and leek pasta bake, chicken soup, chicken and broccoli potato topped pie etc)
🍳 Poached pears
🍳 Stewed or baked apples (not decided yet)

Any of those grab you?

Shmithecat2 · 03/10/2021 12:35

Chicken, leek and pearl barley stew with roast parsnips and suet dumplings.

Vinotinto78 · 03/10/2021 12:36

We are having jerk chicken (and jerk salmon fillets for me) with rice and peas. Never made any Caribbean food before so I’m looking forward to trying it out.

Covetthee · 03/10/2021 12:37

Chickpea, butternut squash & cauliflower curry with rice.

Can’t wait
