I'm making Channa masala from the hairy bikers curry cookbook!

NotAnotherPylon · 03/10/2021 13:23

@HollyandIvyandAllThingsYule That smoked mackerel dish looks fab. I might give it a go during the week. My youngest is a fussy wee so and so, but he does like smoked fish. Thanks for the linkSmile

Jjajangmyeon. A huge sharing platter of noodles in black bean sauce with pork and seafood. That's if I can make it to the shop in time. If not then frozen pizzas 🍕

Ham, egg and chips, cheap and cheerful, and one of my favourites.

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 03/10/2021 13:36

One of the big stuffed crust takeaway style supermarket pizzas with mozzarella sticks and coleslaw

TuftyMarmoset · 03/10/2021 13:38

We are having this sausage and bean stew thehappyfoodie.co.uk/recipes/tuscan-vegan-sausage-and-bean-stew/ with crusty bread (Menissez partbake baguette). It's a really nice recipe that I've made a few times before. It's really good for batch cooking and freezing as well.

chocolatecheesecake · 03/10/2021 13:39

lamb and date stew with couscous and carrots

Daisy829 · 03/10/2021 13:40

Another beef stew in the slow cooker which is perfect for today as we’ve got lot of outdoor activities going on & its a bit chilly & damp here so cant wait to get home, pjs on and a yummy warming tea waiting for us.

StiggyZardust · 03/10/2021 13:42

Slow cooked pork belly, mashed potatoes, Savoy cabbage and cider gravy.

I am doing a baked ham with roasties, cauliflower cheese, and some other veggies with a plum and apple crumble for pudding.

bcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyza · 03/10/2021 13:49

GreenTeaBlackCoffeeAndRedWine · 03/10/2021 13:51

@bcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyza great minds think alike

Icenii · 03/10/2021 13:55

I've got a mushroom, barley and chestnut stew in the slow cooker and homemade bread, but I've put too much stout in the stew and it tastes tinny. Don't know how to rescue it.

lilmishap · 03/10/2021 14:02

Shepherds pie in the oven. Both boys have decided that they want hot dogs instead....I could go for hot dogs but the pie is already in.

SylvanasWindrunner · 03/10/2021 14:02

Chicken and chorizo in red wine sauce in the slow cooker. Will have with some roasties and veg I think.

hiredandsqueak · 03/10/2021 14:07

I'm making roast beef, Yorkshire pud, roast potatoes and veg. I'd stopped making a roast but thought I'd make the effort today for me and dd. Might even make a crumble for pudding.

gogohm · 03/10/2021 14:07

Paella

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 03/10/2021 14:10

A rare roast (pork crackling joint, U.K. outdoor bred from Waitrose) with roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, and probably peas and carrots, apple sauce and proper gravy.
No pud! We’ll be too stuffed with a gluttonous excess of roast potatoes.

Moomarre · 03/10/2021 14:13

When I accidentally put too much ale in a stew tomato purée and more salt seemed to rescue it…
Hellooctoberyoubeauty · 03/10/2021 14:20

We are having a roast outside in the sunshine, making the most of maybe the last warm day!
