I’ve had some pretty nasty migraines & my c section recovery wasn’t the nicest.

What’s the worst pain you’ve ever been in and how long did it last?

Childbirth. Similar to a PP kept being told I wasn't in active labour so the only pain relief I was offered was a bath or paracetamol. I think the panic made the pain worse. Thankfully I did get a bit of gas and air for crowning!

Ear infections in both ears at the same time .....I wanted to die no amount of pain relief helped ..it was a long four days ..then about three days of moderate pain ....bed ridden no food couldn't even get to the loo alone

@ParkheadParadise

Heartbreak When my dd died the physical pain was real. My body ached. It's 6 years this month and a part of me is still in pain.💔💔 The pain of losing your child is the worst pain imaginable.
I'm sorry. It really does hurt more than anything physically ever could. I'd take literally any physical pain you could throw at me, without complaint, if I could just have my boy back even if it was just to hold him for a few more minutes
Ohshittt · 03/10/2021 09:48

Slipped disc causing the muscles in my back to spasm to try and protect it 😖 the slightest bit of movement made me want to leap up and hit the ceiling!

Eve81 · 03/10/2021 09:48

The moment of impact of a head on car crash, worst bloody pain ever!

TerraNovaTwo · 03/10/2021 09:50

Pushing at childbirth - 2 hours
Toothache - days
Joint and muscle pain in legs - chronic/daily

Aphrodite31 · 03/10/2021 09:51

I think corpus luteum cyst in first trimester. Unbelievable.

Also though when stubbed my big toe. And nail was half off. I was 8. At the cottage hospital they judged best to rip off the rest of the nail. No words ...............

PheasantsNest · 03/10/2021 09:52

An abscess in my bum. I almost took an overdose it was that bad.

carringtonm · 03/10/2021 09:53

Quinsy! Worse than childbirth for me.

PuppyMonkey · 03/10/2021 09:54

Frozen shoulder “zinger”.

Aphrodite31 · 03/10/2021 09:55

@endlesscraziness

Forceps delivery without pain relief (I was begging for it) where I tore everything up, down and sideways.
Oh yes I forgot that

That too

I've blanked that one out

Episiotomy followed by Mid cavity forceps and third degree tears and all ........ with zero anaesthetic.

Omg so that's where I got the PYSD then 🤔😂

(!)

Aphrodite31 · 03/10/2021 09:55

PTSD even

Not NYPD either 😅

Arabelladrinkstea · 03/10/2021 09:59

Most painful in order:
Burst cyst on ovaries when Drs pressed it in (I levated off the bed)
Broken back in a car accident
When giving birth stuck spine to spine with baby
Waking up during anaesthetic during surgery and despite the pain unable to react
Mastitis

💜💜 no words. We nearly lost my dd as a toddler, she'd been very poorly for a long time but that night felt different, the pain of waiting for the absolute worst thing to happen was horrendous. We were incredibly lucky that night, but I had a glimpse of what might be and there really are no words, I'm sorry.

Appendicitis

Ectopic pregnancy

Both were similar in that they were unbearably painful in a similar sort of place. Appendicitis wasn't quite as bad as they got me on morphine pretty quick but the ectopic was brutal. I'm both instances I left it for days before seeking medical attention because I didn't want anyone to think I was making a fuss🙄

ParkheadParadise · 03/10/2021 10:04

@makelovenotpetrol
I completely understand.
Take care of yourself 💕💕

mydogisthebest · 03/10/2021 10:05

I have a pretty high pain threshold. Had a ruptured ectopic pregnancy and the doctor didn't think it could be that because I had not taken any painkillers and laid in bed for a weekend after it happened.

Migraines though are a different matter. I literally can't move. I have to lay in bed in the dark as still as possible. The slightest movement makes my head hurt even more and throw up. If I need the bathroom I have to crawl there.

The pain in my head is just unbelievable and I have literally screamed with it

kirimims · 03/10/2021 10:10

Ruptured ectopic...

RealLemons · 03/10/2021 10:13

I have experienced a lot but hands down the worst has been kidney stones. I was passing out and throwing up simultaneously because the pain was reaching whole new heights.

Sunbird24 · 03/10/2021 10:13

Oh @Arabelladrinkstea you’ve reminded me, the sedation wore off during my egg collection for my IVF, that’s up there too.

nameisnotimportant · 03/10/2021 10:13

My period pain which is the same as labour and when I had the local anaesthetic injection down both sides of my big toe nails to have ingrown nails removed

upaladderagain · 03/10/2021 10:17

I've given birth twice with only has and airbthe first time, had sciatica twice and gallstones. But worse than all these combined was trugrmonal neuralgia. I screamed inside for my head to be amputated.

upaladderagain · 03/10/2021 10:17

Trigeminal

Galaxyinmypocket · 03/10/2021 10:19

In no particular order
Toothache/abscess
Sciatica
Period cramps
Labour
Appendicitis.
Oh and accidentally scalding myself with kettle water as a teen
