I'm completely stuck for ideas, it will be roast chicken tomorrow, we had pasta yesterday and I have literally no idea what to cook. Kids are fussy eaters so lasagne, or stews don't go down well. Had sausages on Wednesday and spaghetti Bol on Monday. Inspire me with your health delicious meal ideas!

Going to have a crack at making malfatti - www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/malfatti

One of our volunteers made it a couple of weeks ago and it's divine!

Sausage, mash and onion gravy for DH and I.

DS has Covid and hasn’t been eating much but wouldn’t have what we are having anyway. We will see what he feels like later.

Rightilus · 02/10/2021 10:44

I hope your son is ok and feels better soon @Peridot1. I love sausages mash and gravy but we this a few day ago.

Those look delish @Sarahlou63 but I know dc would turn up their nose.

Beef tacos (old el paso so I will be shunned for not "cooking from scratch" by MN) with all the sides. Roast beef and apple crumble tomorrow to make up for tonight's laziness!

Justonedayatatime11 · 02/10/2021 10:48

Indian takeaway here, can't wait

BeyondMyWits · 02/10/2021 10:51

Fishcakes and roasted veg here... made extra mash yesterday especially...

beansontoastwithcheeseplease · 02/10/2021 10:53

I've got covid so no sense of taste or smell. I'm usually such a foodie. So looking for inspiration for something that might at least inspire DHs tastebuds

MrsSkylerWhite · 02/10/2021 10:54

Not sure, needs to have lots of veg though: youngest’s first dinner at home since starting independent life at university Grin

WildRosie · 02/10/2021 10:57

Bacon chop from the butcher, chips, fried eggs. Nothing too fancy as I'm at the office early tomorrow.

Mindymomo · 02/10/2021 11:00

We’re having roast chicken tonight as DH and DS1 are going to football match tomorrow and will have KFC there.

legosunqueen · 02/10/2021 11:00

Cottage Pie with veg sides here - it's definitely mash weather in Yorkshire Smile

BearSoFair · 02/10/2021 11:03

Chicken pesto pasta. It does have more than just that though!
Chicken, red and yellow bell pepper, red onion all in chunks, throw in oven with a drizzle of oil. Cook pasta, mix everything together adding pesto, feta chunks, and halved cherry tomatoes.

maofteens · 02/10/2021 11:05

Chicken marinated in mango and coconut - not by me but courtesy of Waitrose. I'm not much of a cook, more an assembler, but luckily my kids like my food or at least pretend to!

Toastytoads · 02/10/2021 11:06

Dominoes

SarahBellam · 02/10/2021 11:08

Fajitas are easy, healthy, and always go down well in our house.

MoreThanAnOffDay · 02/10/2021 11:10

Meant to be doing a mushroom chowmein and garlic and chilli chicken. BUT I can't be arsed! And really fancy dominos.
The kids having a macdonalds because I promised them the other day and they don't like what I'm cooking.

Dinotruxagain · 02/10/2021 11:13

Picky tea here, random bits from the fridge, cupboard. The entire house has came down with a cold and we're having a lazy jammies day!

TheOnlyMrsM · 02/10/2021 11:29

Saturdays are usually our family easy pizza nights - garlic bread, pizzas, simple side salad - but we did that last night instead this week. I'm kicking myself a bit because I still fancy an easy night on the kitchen front tonight! Whatever it is, it will need to be something comforting and warming as well as easy, given the gloomy weather.

canihaveacoffeeplease · 02/10/2021 11:31

Lovely big sharing antipasti platter tonight after a bbq on the beach for lunch. Still all mellow from the beach, just got the kids home, fed, showered and in bed (in Australia). Heaven!

Toutouchien · 02/10/2021 11:37

I have cooked a brown lentil soup, will fry some rainbow chard and have baked a cheese bread. That’s for dinner.
For lunch, I made a pizza dough this morning and the pizza sauce ( just roast tomatoes and roast garlic ) and will make a cheese pizza for the kids and a chicken and veg one for my husband and a tuna and black olive one for me. Actually my husband will cook the pizza for us. Will have it with corn and cucumber.

embolass · 02/10/2021 11:51

Thai red curry which I’ll make this afternoon when everyone is out at cinema to see James Bond

SpottyStripyDuvet · 02/10/2021 12:49

Pizza here

EllieSattler · 02/10/2021 12:50

Kids have a birthday party this afternoon and DH is working so we'll just have scrambled egg on toast or something.

TroysMammy · 02/10/2021 12:52

Quiche I made yesterday, homegrown tomatoes roasted and runner beans.

Tellmesomethinggirl · 02/10/2021 12:58

Steak, field mushrooms stuffed with garlic, breadcrumbs and parsley, grilled tomatoes from the garden and sauteed potatoes, with pak choi, ginger, hoisin sauce and sesame seeds as a starter or side depending on what everyone fancies. Pudding will be pear upside down sponge (once I've made it) with pears from our garden and a small scoop of vanilla ice cream for teens.

^ This is our Sunday lunch that we are having tonight as we are out at a sporting event all day tomorrow. Tomorrow's food will mostly be ham sandwiches and a bag of chips on the way home!
