Who do you think will be the next Bond?

I think a Jamie Dornan is a good shout, but it may be a relative unknown.

Ten years ago my money would have been on Idris Elba, but I think his optimum age has passed.

Richard Armitage or Rupert Perry Jones - they’ve already had the training in Spooks!

doadeer · 28/09/2021 21:13

I think it will be someone different to Daniel Craig so not a big beefcake type maybe the Rob Stark game of thrones/bodyguard guy

Who do you think will be the next Bond?

Tom Hardy or Regé-Jean Page

MintyGreenDream · 28/09/2021 21:35

As long as its not Tom Hiddleston I'm happy.

Needawayout · 28/09/2021 21:44

Tom Hardy yes please. Had to Google James norton, thought Mumsnet had gone a bit strange but realised I had been thinking of Ed Norton!

Daniel Craig in tiny swimming trunks - no bond scene will ever top that !

AngeloMysterioso · 28/09/2021 21:49

In the past I would have said Henry Cavill but I think he’s out of the running having already done a spy genre movie (Mission Impossible).

Theo James and Henry Golding are good if unlikely shouts, and I would throw Max Irons in the ring as well.

Oh Lord, I never even thought of Theo James! I think he might be too perfect looking though.

I was thinking Sam Heughan for years, but after the SAS film he did I'm not so sure. I do adore him though!

Rupert Friend would be interesting....
I'm sure he's in something upcoming but I can't remember what it is.

LoganRoy · 28/09/2021 22:02

I’d never thought of him before this thread but Henry Golding would be great!

ursuslemonade · 28/09/2021 22:04

Theo James phwoaaarrrrrrrr

AnotherEmma · 28/09/2021 22:10

Henry Golding definitely looks the part!

CormoranStrike · 28/09/2021 22:13

Henry Golding looks like anyone but James Bond to me.

Handsome, charming, looks good in a suit...
Too handsome maybe?

donquixotedelamancha · 28/09/2021 22:28

Just kidding about Daniel Radcliffe, i was trying to come up with the worst candidate.

Jodie Whittaker

MyfanwyMontez · 28/09/2021 22:31

I was watching Tenet not long ago, and I said Robert Pattison would make a really good Bond.

overnightangel · 28/09/2021 22:41

I’d have to go for Tom Ellis as well

Whitney168 · 28/09/2021 22:42

James Norton camp? 😯 I’m guessing you’ve not seen Happy Valley?

I’m another vote for James. Could get on board with Matthew Goode or Dev Patel too.

Lots of the suggestions here way too short l

WhiskeyNeverStartsToTasteNice · 28/09/2021 22:46

I just looked up Theo James and he will always , always be the bully with poo on his nose in The Inbetweeners to me which totally rules him out for me 😆

Valhalla17 · 28/09/2021 22:47

Theo James or Rege Jean Page Smile. Theo is my number 1!

Robert Pattinson would also be good but he's Batman, so he cant do both!

HadEnoughOfBears · 28/09/2021 22:51

I came in here to say Harry Styles
I see @AnyFucker has already said that though!

Autumngoldleaf · 28/09/2021 22:52

They can't just be good looking though they need some depth...

JBlow · 28/09/2021 22:56

Sam Heughan
Danny Mac
Henry Cavil
Bridgerton man

AnyFucker · 28/09/2021 22:57

@HadEnoughOfBears great minds

AlecTrevelyan006 · 28/09/2021 23:09

The next bond film won’t be released till autumn 2023 at the earliest - more likely spring 2024

Plenty can happen between now and then
