Would you do this ADHD diagnostic quiz and share your answer?

counsellingresource.com/quizzes/adhd-testing/adhd/

I've done this quiz which is meant to provide an estimate of whether you might have ADHD. It shouldn't be used for diagnosis, there are lot of caveats for it.

But I am thinking "but surely everyone does that" about a lot of the questions. I'd be really interested to get a range of answers from a range of people, if anyone is willing to share.

For what it's worth, I've done it twice on different days, scored 76 and 62. Their threshold for "possible ADHD" is 70+. I don't really believe anyone can score less than 50 and I'd be fascinated to know if I'm wrong.

  1. I am awaiting assessment for ADHD (long waiting list).

@ehb102

Everyone please be aware that trauma can produce ADHD and autism like symptoms. If you've had any kind of difficult relationship, sexual assault, child birth trauma, bullying etc you could have trauma symptoms.
Yes.

It’s more likely to be adhd if you’ve had problems since childhood. And if they occur in multiple contexts.

I've suspected for a while I have ADHD, low concentration, constantly daydreaming, and since the perimenopause started I'm almost completely unable to write a list of tasks to complete a goal. I got 56.

  1. I expected higher, I do have to force organisation on myself (it doesn't come naturally) but there are marked slug like tendencies since infancy.
BoneyEm1972 · 16/01/2022 17:04

78, Hmm maybe!

ISmellBurnings · 16/01/2022 17:05
  1. Wow. I’m not being assessed, maybe I should be. My DC have ASD.

I got 22, and I was probably being overboard on some questions.

My friends describe me as the most laid back person they know. I went through a period of acute distress that they found downright alarming because it was so unlike me to be disorganised, unmotivated etc.

  1. I have a DC with a diagnosis of ADHD.
Stealhsquirrelnutkin · 16/01/2022 17:38

41 - would have been lower before I started living with chronic pain and fatigue, which made me score highly on the thin skinned and aggressive questions.

Thatnameistaken · 16/01/2022 17:46

77 I've only recently read about adult ADD, and so much fits. It's probably affected my whole life looking back, not sure what help a diagnosis would be to me now though.

IntendingWell · 16/01/2022 17:49

100 was my score.

TerrifiedandWorried · 16/01/2022 20:49

DH (who I have long since suspected has ADHD) scored 93, DD and DS 76 and 73.

I'm not diagnosed with anything but have suspected for a long time something is not quite right.

Abelard40 · 16/01/2022 21:19

10.. I guess OP you can normalise a lot of those things they were describing in the questions? But that’s also not to pathologise the behaviour.. if that’s not contradictory 🤔🤪

Bunbunbunny · 16/01/2022 21:29

85 - was diagnosed at 39 with ADHD

Anystarinthesky · 16/01/2022 21:33

Monsterpage · 16/01/2022 21:34
