Would you do this ADHD diagnostic quiz and share your answer?

counsellingresource.com/quizzes/adhd-testing/adhd/

I've done this quiz which is meant to provide an estimate of whether you might have ADHD. It shouldn't be used for diagnosis, there are lot of caveats for it.

But I am thinking "but surely everyone does that" about a lot of the questions. I'd be really interested to get a range of answers from a range of people, if anyone is willing to share.

For what it's worth, I've done it twice on different days, scored 76 and 62. Their threshold for "possible ADHD" is 70+. I don't really believe anyone can score less than 50 and I'd be fascinated to know if I'm wrong.

Adult ADD/ADHD Screening Quiz Answers

Total score of: 10
(Below 70, Not Associated with ADHD)

Your answers to this adult ADHD screening test suggest that you are not in the range associated with a high probability of ADHD.

No diagnosis but all my kids have a combination of adhd and or asd and I do recognise a lot of their traits in myself

zaffa · 16/01/2022 13:41

18 for me, but I agree that there are quite a few that you think, well everyone does that a bit.

BurntO · 16/01/2022 13:42
  1. I don’t have adhd but likely have some mental health issues

PinkSyCo · 16/01/2022 14:48

I got 18.

MyQuietPlace · 16/01/2022 14:58

I scored 53. Long-term depression and a fairly recent stroke can probably be attributed to it.

This is all really interesting OP!

Midgetm · 16/01/2022 15:16

I scored 78. Been wondering for years if I do have it, and think DD Does. Just trying to get her assessed after years of being ignored as she masks it so well the majority of the time. I’ve learnt to cope with it on my own and Ive done ok in the end, professionally and in relationships. Taken quite a few knocks along the way to get here. I don’t want the same for my daughter.

DiamanteFan · 16/01/2022 15:20

28,

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 16/01/2022 15:21

I scored 73.
I have 2 dcs on the autism spectrum and suspect I maybe too but haven’t investigated any further.

Diagnosed 6 years ago. Unmedicated due to no licensed meds for Adult ADHD here. And it’s the end of winter. Winter is the worst.

Any other season my score wouldn’t be that high.

NebbiaZanzare · 16/01/2022 15:36

@MrsTerryPratchett

You're going to have inadvertantly attracted loads of people with ADHD to your thread :o

Who probably all have something they should be doing but aren't.

SQUIRRELS!!! 🐿

😂

Hands up, this was me. The thread title won over the inner nagging to go do the stuff that NEEDS to be done since yesterday at least.

MrsDrDear · 16/01/2022 15:37

I also scored 4.

I have no/few ADHD traits. I do have ASD traits, but these questions didn't unearth those.

buckeejit · 16/01/2022 15:59

69 but don't think I have afhd

LucyLocketsBlackCat · 16/01/2022 16:21

17 but I'm generally a calm person (unless OH annoys me).

sleighbellsjiggling · 16/01/2022 16:25

111 but currently waiting for ADs to kick in so might be related to anxiety/depression.

I've wondered for a while if I have ADHD though.

TwigTheWonderKid · 16/01/2022 16:29
  1. Have been wondering over past year if I have ADD but not sure if I have the energy to pursue a NHS diagnosis and if I did, whether it would actually make any difference to my life.
ehb102 · 16/01/2022 16:32

Everyone please be aware that trauma can produce ADHD and autism like symptoms. If you've had any kind of difficult relationship, sexual assault, child birth trauma, bullying etc you could have trauma symptoms.
