Would you do this ADHD diagnostic quiz and share your answer?

counsellingresource.com/quizzes/adhd-testing/adhd/

I've done this quiz which is meant to provide an estimate of whether you might have ADHD. It shouldn't be used for diagnosis, there are lot of caveats for it.

But I am thinking "but surely everyone does that" about a lot of the questions. I'd be really interested to get a range of answers from a range of people, if anyone is willing to share.

For what it's worth, I've done it twice on different days, scored 76 and 62. Their threshold for "possible ADHD" is 70+. I don't really believe anyone can score less than 50 and I'd be fascinated to know if I'm wrong.

You're going to have inadvertantly attracted loads of people with ADHD to your thread :o

I'm diagnosed ADHD, I get 61.

It doesn't seem like a very good quiz to me. I can see what they are trying to do - the diagnostic criteria for adults is confusing and badly worded so they have focused on the way a lot of adults self report that their symptoms make them feel, but it's very subjective and really unbalanced. For example I felt there were several questions focusing on the same symptoms whereas for other symptoms there were no or very few questions. That means for anyone who has that specific symptom they'll score high whereas someone who doesn't have those specific symptoms it's focused on they will probably miss out on loads of points and score low.

It kind of seems like a quiz written by somebody who has ADHD to be honest. Based on their own personal experience and not on a broad range of experiences.

@Tryingtogetitright
my understanding is that an adult diagnosis is very hard to get (many NHS areas don't really have a pathway for it), and unlikely to benefit much if you're more or less functioning. But if you think it's likely you have it then you might want to spend a while googling coping strategies for ADHD and see if anyone them are useful for you.

Thanks so much for all the scores, it gives me a much better perspective, clearly I'm underestimating how much we all vary!

Those saying they have ADHD but score is low, I think one of the caveats is that it scores hyperactive-type and inattentive-type together. So your score may be really high on one but low on the other.
