Just that!
Starting at 7
Finishing at 12
She has gone round the closest neighbours to let them know
DH and I are in our room - hiding!

How many kids? Are they likely to behave?

My dd is 16 and her friends are a very decent bunch tbh. Not likely to cause any trouble. Hopefully yours will be the same?

HumunaHey · 25/09/2021 18:48

Ooh what comforts have you brought to your room to ride it out? Chocolate, wine, earplugs?

Do you have some kind of door stop or something to stop any kids "mistakenly" walking into your room? Better still, a downstairs loo so there's no need to go upstairs?

HerbaceousHetty · 25/09/2021 18:53

Alcohol or not op?

I didn't want to facilitate them drinking at that age as I didn't want to be responsible for their safety. So well done to you and hope the evening goes well.

I was hoping that the petrol kerfuffle would put people off as everyone is so spread out

On the plus side, it isn't a sleepover (or has she not mentioned that?)!

MumofSpud · 25/09/2021 19:03

Good luck! If it's all girls it should be ok, lots of screeching and giggling I expect. DS1 had a 16th party at home, boys and girls, and there was some alcohol. I locked myself in my bedroom but did come down a few times. It wasn't too bad, but they were very noisy! One couple had a row and there was a bit of drama, she was out the front crying, all the girls outside with her. Boyfriend stomped off into the night. Typical 16 year old party!

Rosiiiiie · 25/09/2021 19:11

Ah you’ll be grand! If there’s no alcohol involved it’ll be a bit of fun and flirting. If there is a bit of alcohol, good luck to you cleaning up the bathroom tomorrow 😬

Elieza · 25/09/2021 19:12

And so it begins…Grin

Heruka · 25/09/2021 19:15

Ahhhh…sounds sweet/poignant and terrifying in equal measure!!

MumofSpud · 25/09/2021 19:17

There is alcohol- I bought some Bud and cider (4%)
One of old primary school friends arrived wearing a handkerchief and waving a bottle of peach schnapps

Do all the parents know you're providing their kids with that or are you risking angry but well rested parents on the door step tomorrow Grin
