Just that!
Starting at 7
Finishing at 12
She has gone round the closest neighbours to let them know
DH and I are in our room - hiding!

@FizzyPink

I remember a party at a similar age where we thought the birthday boy was so cool as his parents had bought us a crate of German beer. Everyone was getting suitably drunk until a German speaker arrived and declared it alcohol free 😂
Now that is bloody genius.

I don't mind a teen party! Our house has hosted a few for DS1 over the last few years, none really disastrous. Just arranging his 18th in a couple of months and it's exciting! I won't be in the house for that one though SadGrin

Good luck OP, I love how you won’t let them listens to songs with rude words but have bought them cider - hope it goes well !!

Ooh I love this! Although my mum definitely re-lived her youth years through me and used to come down and join, she’s hilarious though and all of my mates loved her she was second mum to them all! What’s happening now OP

TheChosenTwo · 25/09/2021 20:57

Oh god, dd1 turned 16 during the summer of lockdown 1, at that time we were allowed some people in the garden and we had family round in shifts - it was so pleasant Grin
For her 17th this year we were on holiday. Next year her 18th falls right in the middle of the double bank holiday extravaganza for the queens birthday (I think? Something to do with the Queen, I don’t really know) and she wants us to go away.
I am so grateful she hasn’t asked to have a party at home! I don’t think I’d like it, I love our house too much Grin
Now dd2 on the other hand is about to turn 16. She has mentioned a party Confused

Teen house parties were the best.

1hr 45 to go, you got this!

EvilWhich · 25/09/2021 22:25

Oh love her! It happens to the best of us. At least she is safe with you and isnt paralytic in a field!

MumofSpud · 25/09/2021 22:30

episcomama · 25/09/2021 23:05

What kind of party is it if there isn't a girl crying on the stairs? 😂

justasking111 · 25/09/2021 23:05

AHH memories. One boy puked in the bathroom sink also opened a window and puked all over the decking furniture. He left the mess and went to his Saturday job. I rang him insisted he comes back and clean up he refused until I said well then I shall phone your mother and she can clean it up. He came back.

He didn't improve with age and is a pompous Shifty unpleasant man now

MumofSpud · 25/09/2021 23:13

Some people have left
We are 'in the sticks' - 20 mins from Paddington ConfusedHmm
I am itching to clean up!
The music is v hit n miss - Cotton eyed Joe followed by some sort of grime
I have smoked x2 cigarettes (to my shame stolen from the puking girl - I haven't smoked in 5 yearsBlush
