Me

Very happy

I think they’ll be fine

Saladovercrispsanyday · 23/09/2021 08:36

And if not

We will be fine given gov guarantees

Emsie1987 · 23/09/2021 08:37

I am with bulb. Not sure what to do. Will be following

jesusmaryjosephandtheweedonkey · 23/09/2021 08:45

Got everything crossed that they don't fold.

AnyFucker · 23/09/2021 08:46

Yep. And they have £300 of my money in credit. Hmm

SpamandSparkle · 23/09/2021 08:55

@AnyFucker similar here! Just hoping that they don't go to the wall

AnyFucker · 23/09/2021 08:56

Despite being £300 in credit, they recently “recommended” that we increase our direct debit by £20 a month too Hmm

Love2cycle · 23/09/2021 08:57

I was with Avro who have just gone bust. We are in credit with them, but their website is not accessible either.
My advice would be to download bills and proof of credit etc just incase they do go bust and you are no longer able to access your account. Good luck 😊

£300 in credit over summer months is not actually that much

Preparing for winter so you’re not hit with a big bill

AnyFucker · 23/09/2021 09:01

Yes, I have. I have full trust in the government too that it will not be an absolute ballache to get it sorted should the worst happen Smile

Kerplunkk · 23/09/2021 09:02

I was with them but am in the process of transferring (to Octopus) as my gas & electricity bill seems to have shot up in the past few months, due to rise again in a few weeks too I believe

BlueberrySugar · 23/09/2021 09:02

Not with Bulb but I honestly think they will be fine.

🤞🏼 for you.

Kerplunkk · 23/09/2021 09:04

If their prices hadn’t risen so much I would still be wirg them mind, fantastic customer service!

So what happens to your credit…

You’re automatically moved over to another company by ofcam

Your new supplier pursues the credit and if not successful, it’s taken off your bill.

You’re safe. I’m safe.

PoisoningPigeons · 23/09/2021 09:04

We're with them. I'm keeping a vague eye on the news, but I figure there's nothing much to be done and if they do go bust, we'll just be moved to another supplier.

userxx · 23/09/2021 09:05

I recently joined bulb, like two weeks ago. My timing was immaculate 🙈.

Ingleduh · 23/09/2021 09:05

We got out credit refunded yesterday (only took about 12hrs to come through) I just inputted jew meter readings then requested it in the chat bot incase they fold an it's a long process!
We were showing as having 490 but they refunded about 110 less than that because of how their billing is calculated.

bloodywhitecat · 23/09/2021 09:06

Doesn't that depend on whether you are with them for just electric or dual fuel? We only have an energy company for electricity and our bills don't vary that much between summer and winter.

Really? But sure you have your lights on much less?
MargaretMorris · 23/09/2021 09:11

Yes. I was shocked last week when they sent a letter to say they would be increasing my bills by £30 a month. I'm back working in the office and barely had the heating on until the last week!

Sorry if this is dim but can someone explain what being in credit means? They take money out of my account every month so what is the credit?

I'm a new home owner so I thought maybe I'm new to these things but I've never been in credit with a previous supplier as far as I know.

bloodywhitecat · 23/09/2021 09:16

No, just checked and there is a £12 difference between August's bill and December's bill.

Titsywoo · 23/09/2021 09:16

They just told me my bill is going from 150 a month to 300! Was thinking of moving to octopus but not sure if it is worth bothering at this point!

Mine too. Miraculously they've discovered that I'm not on point to cover my winter bills. More like it they're pulling in cash desperately. I like their ethos so hanging on for a bit.
