Just found out what I ordered online on Saturday night

I had a rare night out with colleagues on Saturday (the first since before COVID), with 2-3 drinks involved. When I got home DH and I had a single drink together and chattered about a few things we needed to sort out. And apparently during this chat I ordered something online, which I had completely forgotten about until this morning when the email confirming the order arrived.

No prizes but much kudos to the person who guesses right/closest!

I wonder if the bus will have all colourful curtains at all it's windows, as a great advertising feature.

pickingdaisies · 20/09/2021 13:12

My next guess was going to be a shutter fitting service. I would not have guessed a curtain bus! I'm a bit jealous, tbh, it sounds more exciting than my ready made Markie's ones.
I think you need to get the prosecco in so you're in the right reckless mood for curtain selecting Grin

@SoupDragon

I once had a surprise horse head mask arrive after a night in the pub.
This has to be a great story! LOL
SoupDragon · 20/09/2021 14:08

I can't remember exactly how the conversation went but Amazon and it's easy to use app has a lot to answer to 😂 The mask has given me many laughs.

I am just glad that you got an confirmation email. It would have been rather comically if a curtain bus turned up and you were not expecting them.

I rather like the idea of a "curtain bus", though am getting mired in solutions for VW campervans when trying to find its details.

Is it a double decker or just a minibus sized?

It will give your new neighbours something to talk about, anyway.

The curtain bus sounds expensive...

I once paid £100 for curtain advice during a very demented period in my life. Curtain lady turned up to our shit-hole house and I wasn't in. I didn't reschedule and lost the £100.

I don't know what I was thinking. I don't even drink and at that point the house needed a full re-wire and the downstairs loo kept overflowing sewage into the hallway. Designer curtains were not the solution.

@LegoCaltrops

A new dining table, weighing half a tonne, which comes preassembled, & which is too large to fit through any of your doors.
I did this! Wasn't Pre assembled but as a 10 seater was a bit large for my then 2 bed flat.

Loved that table. For years it was the most expensive thing I owned.

StopPickingMyCherries · 20/09/2021 19:44

Oooh I love the idea of a curtain bus, I hope it's a double decker that comes screeching round the corner on two wheels, honking it's horn, then magically expands to show you their wares,like the Harry Potter bus
Anything less will be a disappointment
