My mum has just been rushed into hospital

She had a bad headache, wanted to be sick and seemed confused/weak. She's not well in general but I've never seen her look so bad. She's been positive with Covid too so came to stay with me so I could keep an eye on her.

I'm fucking terrified. Have to wait for a couple of hours before I can ring the hospital and I'm just numb. My dad is no help. I need to tell my sister but don't want to worry her until I know something.

I don't even know why I'm posting, just need to get it out I think

Get some sleep OP, your mum will have fab care in ITU and you’ll be better to phone and liaise tomorrow after sleep as you’re Ill yourself. You have my hand to hold

Whilst serious, ITU really is the best place for her. She will get amazing care, I promise

My mum had something very similar, collapsed had a seizure at home, we dialed 999, she was admitted thinking it was a stroke but it turned out to be an irregular heartbeat, they implanted a loop recorder & put her on Betablockers, she is OK now touch wood, was in hospital a few days, she is 83. We thought that was going to be the end for her, ds did all the right things, put her in recovery position & rang 999, like your mum she was confused & dazed but was totally different 2 days later. Hope your mum is OK x
