My mum has just been rushed into hospital

She had a bad headache, wanted to be sick and seemed confused/weak. She's not well in general but I've never seen her look so bad. She's been positive with Covid too so came to stay with me so I could keep an eye on her.

I'm fucking terrified. Have to wait for a couple of hours before I can ring the hospital and I'm just numb. My dad is no help. I need to tell my sister but don't want to worry her until I know something.

I don't even know why I'm posting, just need to get it out I think

So glad you were able to see your mum again, even if it was just a short while. Hope she continues to make progress. 🌺

QuestionableMouse · 29/09/2021 23:23

Had another video call today and she's looking better again. Still can't talk due to the trach but she's been breathing on her own again which is good 😁

That's great news, Mouse Smile

Silkiescatz · 30/09/2021 00:16

Glad to hear your Mum is still improving.

stilldumdedumming · 30/09/2021 22:57

How is your mum responding so far? With dp they put a speaking valve in his trachy but I expect everyone is different. He couldn't tolerate it for too long. Started with 10 mins or so. To be breathing on her own like that sounds really good. That is a huge step.

Antinerak · 01/10/2021 18:03

Excellent news! She's on the right track now, with some sustained stability they'll sort her trach. How's her mobility?

bearlyactive · 02/10/2021 17:06

How's it going Mouse?

Moonshine86 · 12/10/2021 21:28

I hope all is well with your mum. I was thinking about your situation as it stuck a chord with me!

@QuestionableMouse Thinking of you and your Mum.

QuestionableMouse · 13/10/2021 11:39

Sorry lost track of the thread!

She's out of icu and is doing much better. They're a bit worried about her lungs so are doing scans and stuff today or tomorrow which is kinda scary but I'm just so glad she's doing better!
