My mum has just been rushed into hospital

She had a bad headache, wanted to be sick and seemed confused/weak. She's not well in general but I've never seen her look so bad. She's been positive with Covid too so came to stay with me so I could keep an eye on her.

I'm fucking terrified. Have to wait for a couple of hours before I can ring the hospital and I'm just numb. My dad is no help. I need to tell my sister but don't want to worry her until I know something.

I don't even know why I'm posting, just need to get it out I think

OP I'm so sorry you are going through this, the uncertainty is killer and not being able to go and see her is awful. I wrote a post on here a couple of weeks ago, my husband was rushed in to emergency brain surgery and ended up having a haemorrhage in theatre so I do know how you are feeling. But he is doing much better now and has been discharged and is recovering at home. Please don't give up hope, keep thinking positive thoughts for your lovely Mum. Modern medicine is honestly a miracle and she will be in the very best hands. I'm am praying for you and your family today and hoping that she pulls through xx

Had a bit of a cry last night. It all just hit me. Not being able to visit is so so hard.

❤ Mouse If you havent already I would ask about visiting again to see if they will soften their stance. Sometimes having a visitor can help patients as well.

I've asked a few times about visiting and been told no each time as she's in a Covid bay.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mum. My nan was taken in to hospital recently and it's bloody awful not being able to visit and relying on busy staff to call you with updates whenever they get a minute
