Tell me about something you've bought that you dont think you can live without now. Something that isn't essential to your everyday life, doesn't have to be luxury but just something that's made a difference to your life.

I recently got a small handheld vaccum as my main wasn't working so I got a cheap one till I could research on a good one anyway its really helped with back problems as I'm not having to lug it up the stairs.
Also I had a bit extra this month so wanted to get something practical to make life that little bit easier, any suggestions?

Airpods, totally changed my life in terms of using them for stressful journeys or generally bringing joy into my life through music.

For those who were looking for a rice cooker, I use the Tefal 8 in 1, I think it's 55 pounds but perfect rice every time.

Please could anybody recommend a shiatsu shoulder massager?

An electric over blanket for the sofa. It keeps my legs warm in the evening and saves ££££££ on electric.

campingfever · 06/09/2021 08:40

This week I bought new greenpan nonstick frying pans, and suddenly I love cooking again
Also:
contigo coffee mug - a leak-prook miracle!
instant pot for batchcooking
greenfibres mattress protectors
coleman airbed for camping - so, so much comfier than mats

I'm now googling waffle makers

CaptainMyCaptain · 06/09/2021 08:40

I couldn't think of anything until I read the thread but, definitely, my Kindle. It is my constant companion.

Acarerformum · 06/09/2021 08:44

A goose down duvet, so light and warm, I would hate to go back to heavy quilts or covers!

@PegasusReturns

Posted about this on S&B but a springy things for removing facial hair.

I used to go to the salon for a top lip wax and would always have something else done because otherwise it seems like a waste of effort so would spend 2 hours and £100 every few weeks. Now I do it at my desk and save the time.

@PegasusReturns

how have I never heard of this?

which one do you have?

@Halfaham

Please tell me about your gluten free low carb cakes in a waffle maker recipes?

BroccoliFloret · 06/09/2021 08:50

A set of three stainless steel mixing bowls from John Lewis with plastic lids. Use them all the time and they are just the best kitchen thing I have ever bought (apart from my KitchenAid but that was a lot more than £100)

PegasusReturns · 06/09/2021 08:52

Behold the Springy Thing:

I’ve used mini razors, waxing, flawless hair remover but the spring is THE BEST.

I’ve got a tweezerman (sucked in cos I love their tweezers) and also a £5 Amazon version. There is no discernible difference.

There’s a knack to using it but once you have it you’ll never look back.

Is anyone else making a huge shopping list?

asking for a friend

A chemical perm for my hair. Old fashioned but it's transformed my whole look and I bloody love it.

£60 for a cut and perm every 4-6 months with a brilliant vintage styles hairdresser.

(Im early 30s and my grandmother thinks it's hilarious)

imjustsoworried · 06/09/2021 08:56

My cat, she was free after a friend rescued a stray who was very very pregnant. She's my constant and I love her.

BIoodyStupidJohnson · 06/09/2021 08:59

A Backpod. (I'm cheating slightly as they're just over £100 at the moment, but I got mine for £99 and you do see them on offer quite often.)

I have chronic costochondritis and some other back pain, and this plus foam rollering daily has helped massively.

Eesha · 06/09/2021 09:01

@PegasusReturns this looks to be a vamped up version of the threads that are used in Asian salons. I might try it!

PegasusReturns · 06/09/2021 09:03

@VaguelyInteresting

Would you be prepared to show a photo of your hair? I’ve been toying with the idea and would love to see.

Oldraver · 06/09/2021 09:04

When I saw the title I thought our Shark handheld cleaner. We bought when the kitten was little to vacuum the litter but it gets used lots

Metellaestinhortobibit · 06/09/2021 09:05

My Babyliss Curl Secret.

It gets perfect curls on the ends of my hair that I just can’t get using my GHDs.

I’ve also used it to fully curl my hair too and it’s fab!

Waffle maker. I can make gluten free low carb cakes!
Would love a recipe please.
GoodnightGrandma · 06/09/2021 09:13

I’m cheating here as I had a £100 voucher so my wireless Dyson only cost £99.
My old one was always needing plugging in or cleaning out, so I sent it off to Uni wit DS. But I missed it so much I bought another !
It’s perfect for my hard floors , but mostly used for sucking up spiders.

Ok, so now I am intrigued. I have not seen this before and because I can't order the Amazon one (I'm not in UK) I had a look on Shein and they have a few options, cheap as well.

What do you use it for? Only for the upper lip, or can you do eyebrows with it as well, (or is it not that precise?) What about underarms and bikini line? I see on Shein there are bendy ones like yours, some with one handle and one that just looks like one long spring.
